Sneha woke up an hour later at about 9 a.m. and felt better. Even though she was a doctor she liked having someone else take care of her and felt good when Rohan gave her the medicine. 'He's not nearly as bad as he behaves,' she thought.
She wondered whether she should go visit his office or not, took a bath and finally decided to go. After all, since she had arrived in City M she had hardly stepped out to go anywhere. This was a great way to experience the city and went to select a dress out of her wardrobe for her visit. She thought it made sense to wear something loud since she was a new bride, but had to tone down her thoughts and dress choice because she was visiting an office and not a party. She chose a yellow shirt with white trousers and a white scarf and wore her usual rose perfume. Her accessories were not too loud either. She wore small gold earrings and a small necklace. She wanted to wear high heels but decided it was more practical to wear wedged sandals instead. It was 10 a.m. and she knew how fierce City M traffic could be. It could easily take an hour or more to reach your destination and that was if the traffic behaved! She quickly grabbed her purse and stepped outside.
Her building's guard helped her flag down a cab. She had thought of catching the City M metro but was afraid of its overload of passengers and so she decided to go to the office by cab instead. The old cab driver was obviously impressed by this elegant woman and Sneha enjoyed her ride through the city. The essence of City M was in its high-rise buildings surrounded by all the different markets. The roads were often narrow and the vendors loved to line up on the roads along the way to sell their wares. Everyone looked as if they were going to get somewhere in their life and they all appeared professional. Nobody had time to stand and gaze; perhaps that was left for the tourists.
The cab took almost an hour to arrive and Sneha called Rohan when she was almost there and asked what she should do. He asked her to come to the fourteenth floor of the building and wait at reception. When Sneha arrived, the receptionist thought she was one of the candidates for an interview.
The receptionist smiled at her and said, "Hello! How can I help you?"
"Hi, I am Dr Sneha. I'm looking to meet Mr. Rohan Malik. Here's my entry pass for the visit," Sneha replied. The receptionist thought with a smirk, 'Another one!' Sneha didn't understand the expression so she ignored it but wondered what it meant.
The receptionist called Rohan and told him, "A 'Doctor Sneha' is waiting for you in reception. Should I bring her to you?" Upon getting an affirmative answer she led Sneha to Rohan's cubicle. Though it was not needed, whenever someone came to visit Rohan she went with him or her, as she loved flirting with Rohan.
Rohan always thanked her for this courtesy. He invited Sneha to sit in front of his desk for a few minutes while he finished up some work before he could show her around. He asked whether she was feeling better.
She answered, "Yes, I am. But I don't feel like talking very much." He gazed at her, concerned about her health and ordered some coffee for both of them.
The entire office staff knew Rohan had a visitor. They all were dying to know who the young, elegant woman was who was stealing all the looks from the young men around the office. Rohan's colleagues, who usually didn't interact with him came over and ask whether he needed any help but only so they could say hello to Sneha. When this happened twice, Rohan started getting jealous and wanted Sneha to go back home. However, he was also proud that his wife was so eye-catching. Five minutes later he found a number of his colleagues were gathered around his cubicle chatting with each other. He was in a quandary but knew they were all dying to talk to Sneha.
