"Yaaaaaayyy!!!!!" The people were screaming for joy. Confetti were thrown. They were clapping their hands, rejoicing the statement from Han Ryeowook.
Shizu peeked at Lee Changhyuk who was sitting beside her. He had been extremely quiet during Ryeowook's speech as his cold eyes stared at the screen. The air surrounding him was chilly, as if the temperature was dropped to an icy point. If looks could kill, his would murder dozens in an instant. She had never seen him wearing such a scary expression.
Now that the presscon ended, Lee Changhyuk shut his lids and took a deep breath. His blood was boiling and his heart was beating fast as he knew what was coming after them. A full scale war.
His phone was vibrating nonstop eversince the presscon started, so he took it out.
[Incoming Call: Mr. Manager, Mr. Park!]
He also saw the exploded notification: 2000 new messages and 300 missed calls so he switched the phone off, put it back in his pocket in anger and pinched the temple between his eyebrows.
A crispy laughter of the people around him slowly penetrated his ears. His eyes then strolled around in annoyance, surrounding him was a joyful celebration. Someone played a GreenEast song on a big speaker. People were singing and dancing to the song. Unconsciously, the frown started to disappear from his brow.
Ignorance is bliss. These people had no idea what it meant for GreenEast to terminate the contract. They were commencing a full scale war. Only a matter of time until, 'those' who stayed behind StarLord Entertainment would show up. And other players would definitely join the war to destroy them.
It's not that they cared about the throne. GreenEast and the throne was practically one, they had no choice but to fight the actual demons who were lurking behind the stars.
They said good energy would spread like fire to the neighbors. It was the first time for Lee Changhyuk to see the joyous fans from up close. He might be a songwriter and a businessman on the side but before anything else he was a proud singer. And nothing could hit his softest part than seeing his fans celebrating for his return.
Maybe, just maybe, fighting those monsters would be worth it. He thought.
A soft smile finally appeared on his handsome face. Then he realized that the milk girl was quietly looking at him with her beautiful faithful eyes.
"How are you feeling?"
"Great." That cliché answer came with a nod.
The milk girl didn't buy his word and continued to stare at him to study his face. Lee Changhyuk knew what she was thinking so he casually rested his face on his palm to let her examine his gorgeous face. After a while he gave her a suggestive wink.
Shizu scoffed at him then giggled. She noticed that the air around Lee Changhyuk had returned to normal. She was worried as she saw how tense Lee Changhyuk's expression was.
What a precious girl. Her adorable smile always managed to stop the time and comforted him in a strangest way. Her lips as rosy as a freshly fallen petal always spoke nothing but kindness, it made him want to protect her from the cruelty that the world could throw. He wished she could be more honest and tell him anything that bothered her mind, but it was fine, for her mesmerizing eyes were the big windows to her beautiful soul, he could read her like a book.
He nodded his head and gently pinched her small nose between his long fingers.
"I'll give you a chance to interview Lee Changhyuk." He playfully said, his tone was as melodious and as tender as she remembered.
Right! He always told her: My name is Lee Yuki whenever I'm wearing this fake beard and dorky eyeglasses!
Han Ryeowook ended the presscon without allowing any further interview. And now after the presscon this Lee Yuki allowed her to interview THE Lee Changhyuk!?? How many people would kill to get this opportunity? Her big eyes narrowed as she contemplated to choose her questions.
"May I know why is Han Ryeowook alone?" There goes her first question.
"Because I am on holiday."
Shizu did not say anything further. She quietly stared at him with her hopeful big eyes. She was too polite to probe for more but she was definitely waiting for further explanation.
A playful grin appeared on his handsome face. He knew what's going on inside that head, she was too cute. He looked her straight in the eye then playfully raised his eyebrows.
"What do you think would happen if all GreenEast members were present except me?"
"People would wonder where you are?"
Lee Changhyuk nodded his head to agree with her, like a proud adult praising a child. He then added:
"And they would look for me."
He did offer to return for the presscon, but Kim Yoonjae and Han Ryeowook stopped him. 'If you return, then our holiday would stop. You will not be able to go back to Japan for a while.'
The calm before the storm. That's what Han Ryeowook gifted to his younger brothers.
"And no one should know that you're here?"
"Not even an ant."
"Are you leaving soon?"
"Depends on how you define soon." He pushed the round eyeglasses up with his slender finger.
"Will you leave before the end of your RoomBnB?"
"Maybe, but I don't think I can do that."
"Why?"
It took him awhile before answering her. He had been asking himself the very same question.
Because during the check-in, he promised her that he would stay for a full month. Because he always found comfort whenever he saw that tender eyes. Because at this point he would find tons of excuse to stay with her. Because even after a month it would still be too soon to leave.
"Because you'll penalize me with the late cancellation fee. 90%? That's too much. Have mercy on me, landlord - sama." He closed his eyes then pouted, trying to win her sympathy by putting a very bad act.
Shizu couldn't help but cringe. Really???? With the black card that he casually handed to buy a stupid sunscreen, he could buy her entire house in a blink of an eye!
And what's with this? Did he just try to act cute in front of her? He really still had the nerve to joke around!? Well, that should mean that he was fine, right?
"Are you happy that I'm staying?" There he goes again, looking at her like she could give him the world, even though she knew it was the other way around. An adorable faithful puppy.
"Um!" She nodded her head without hesitation.
"I'm in a good mood now. Should we have lobster to celebrate?"
Her eyes grew wider in disbelief. An image of the unreasonable bill of lobsters flashed in her mind. She shook her head in panic.
"Noooo.... no more lobster!!!"
