Ronnie's frown deepened. He could hear some commotion in the pool waters. He hurriedly strode towards it. Since it was a little dark, he couldn't make out anything clearly. But, something red caught his eye. 'Isn't that the same red colour of the saree Jayne was wearing?
A chill ran down his spine though he didn't want to think of a possible harm to his wife. In spite of the weather being bitter cold outside, he could feel the sweat dripping down his body. He now dashed towards the commotion.
On arriving at the scene, he saw a man mostly in his twenties slowly carrying Jayne up the pool. She was coughing out the excess water stocked up.
Ronnie's breath quickened while his face turned pale. His body shook with fear. He slightly screamed, "Jayne!"
Jayne was mumbling, "Ron! Ron! Ron!" like a mantra.
Ronnie immediately took Jayne from the man. He protectively hugged her body to his chest, "Jayne? I'm here baby… It's okay! It's alright! I'm here now! Don't worry!"
When Jayne found herself safe in the protective hug of her man, she calmed herself slowly gaining back her conscious.
Ronnie let out a sigh of relief. Jayne was totally wet. Hence, she was shivering. So, Ronnie removed his coat and covered her momentarily. He hugged her close to himself to keep her warm.
The person who rescued Jayne was still in the pool totally frozen.
Ronnie was so worried about Jayne that he didn't notice the person who rescued his wife. Then, he was about to carry her away when Ronnie noticed that the man was still in the pool standing expressionless.
Ronnie smacked his head. "Sir, I'm extremely sorry. I was too worried for my wife. Please come out. I can't thank you enough." Ronnie felt very grateful.
On the other hand the person jolted away from his thoughts and snapped back. "It's alright sir. I just came out to smoke. The pool area was comparatively deserted. Hence, I came here. But then, all of a sudden I could hear your wife pleading for help. That's when I jumped into the waters to rescue her."
Ronnie grasped. "Oh my God! I'm sure it's God himself who sent you here at the right time! Thank you so much sir!"
By then Jayne started shivering.
Ronnie immediately carried her up and walked out of the pool area leaving behind the man. He then walked towards their limousine where Daniel West was waiting.
"Sir! What's wrong?" Daniel West began panicking.
"Dan, quick switch on the heater of the car. Jayne slipped into the pool. So she's wet." Ronnie explained.
"Sir shall we go to the hospital?" Daniel West enquired.
Jayne answered, "No Daniel. I'm fine. I just need to go back home."
"Jayne, don't tire yourself. Close your eyes and go back to sleep till we go back home." Ronnie whispered.
Later he carefully placed Jayne in the front passenger seat of the car while he sat in the driver's seat.
Then, he instructed Daniel West, "Dan, you please stay here with parents. If they enquire about us, just tell them that I came up with some important work and that we'd to leave early. Make sure you don't tell them anything about Jayne. I'll go home and send the driver to pick you all."
"Understood boss!" Daniel West saluted and the car sped away.
Jayne was conscious but too tired to speak. She clung on to Ronnie's one arm while he drove. Thankfully the party venue was close by to their mansion. He dropped by their old mansion and instructed the driver to pick their parents and he drove to their Seaview mansion just to make sure their parents don't worry.
On reaching their mansion, Ronnie carried Jayne home and placed her on the couch. "Jayne, hold on baby! Let me get some warm water.."
Jayne didn't let go Ronnie at all. "Baby, I don't want anything. Just you. Come here.."
Ronnie let go of all the insecurities he had moments ago. He lied down on top of her pressing his lips against her. Both of them finally felt alive.
"Baby with these wet clothes on, you'll fall ill. I'll get you changed." Ronnie whispered in Jayne's ears.
He carried her upstairs to their room and removed his coat. The red chiffon saree was sticking on to her sleek body making her look even more seductive. Ronnie had to put in great efforts to restrain himself while he began undressing her.
Later, he wiped her body with a warm cloth and put on her favourite silk robe and dried her hair. He then tucked her into the bed.
Jayne stretched out her hands indicating him to hug her and sleep.
Ronnie removed his wet shirt and pants. He too put on his robe and slid under the covers next to his wife and pulled her into his warm embrace. Jayne whispered, "Baby, I love you!"
Ronnie kissed Jayne's forehead and whispered back, "I love you more than you know baby. Now sleep." He hugged her.

"Where is Virat? What's taking him so long? I hope he's not gone to the poolside?" Sanvi's breath quickened. She began fidgeting her hands out of anxiety.
