....CHOO BAE POV...
'Seriously, what is wrong with this guy?'
'I admit, he is fairly good-looking but he seems way too experienced with girls. '
'He is definitely, a player.'
Looking at his expectant gaze, I sigh and resign myself to defeat.
"Okay, I'll get on but on one condition"
He smiles brightly, looking so smug and triumphant.
I really feel like hitting him right now.
I'm doing this not because I want to, It's just to avoid the trouble.
"Sure, tell me"
"Why do you really want to be my driver?"
He contemplates for a brief moment before he responds
"I just hate those people who don't keep their promises. So I want to keep mine."
I stare trying to figure whether he really means it.
For some strange reason, I think he does.
There's a tinge of sadness, hurt, loss and expectation in his hazel eyes. I find myself being drawn to them.
*Sigh*
I don't know what possessed me at this moment, maybe it was the fact he complimented me earlier, maybe it was me wanting to do something rebellious for once in my life, or maybe... I didn't want to let him down in that moment. So....
I gingerly get on his motorcycle, the leather is cool against my thighs as I press my body against his back.
"Hold on" He says whispering into my neck before he grabs my hands holding on to his shirt tighter around his waist.
I can feel his muscles through his shirt. Never would have guessed.
His fan girls in class will be surprised to find out.
Good-looking, fit and from the way he treats money clearly rich.
There will be an all-out war for him.
Well at-least, his not my type. So I get to watch and enjoy to show.
Personally, I think he is a great catch. But personally.
I prefer .... someone warmer.
Like the smell of waking up to breakfast, eating around a table with my family or having someone ask how are you ... and actually caring about your answer.
The black motorcycle proceeds to take us out of the school grounds.
If it wasn't for this helmet, I'm sure I'd be digging a hole somewhere.
Its not as if I'm unused to people stares but it's different this time.
'Hey, That's the new handsome kid. But whose that on the back'
'Wow, his gotten a girlfriend already? She must like him for his money'
Various thoughts seem to be present in the minds of those who catch glimpse of us .
He however, is oblivious to all this. As if this is just a natural occurrence.
Who does he think he is ? Some chaebol or prince charming?
"Hey, Choo-ssi"
He drops all formalities, using my first name comfortably already.
He turns around, and faces me
Being so close to him, I notice his delicate features up close. Even me, who has been the subject of my fair share of admirers, can't help but grow a little envious.
His complexion is fair and flawless, as good as any of the actors I see on TV. His eyebrows are thick and well-shaped. His nose and lips have a regal quality to them and his jawline was sharp, it could cut. Under the setting sun, his pearly whites seemed to sparkle.
"Yes"
"Where do you live?"
"XXX XXX near the supermarket"
"Okay got it."
He then starts to speed up!
Along the way, he flips my visor up and tells me enjoy the wind.
I little annoyed at first, I eventually do just what he says.
It's not bad. The feeling of the wind is like a gentle caress.
After 10 minutes or so, we near the supermarket that's close to my House.
The entire trip just went by so fast. It was quite a novel experience.
"Dylan, Turn left! My house is the white one up front" I shout as we near our destination, trying my best to overcome the headwind.
He nods, as we sway around the corner before coming to a stop.
As I disembark, touching back on land. I feel a strange sensation for a second as my legs begin readjusting.
I take off the helmet, and in his mirror can she how unruly my hair has become.
Noticing my panic he steps forward chuckling before he slowly brushes my hair with his hands.
A couple of seconds later, he looks down at me, "All fixed"
I hurriedly hand him back his helmet trying to escape the blush growing on my face.
"Uhm. Bye... " I try to make my way to the front door as fast as possible before he calls out suddenly, shocking me for right in my place.
"Hey!! What should you say to someone who just went out of their way to get you safely home Miss Bae-ssi?"
'It's not like I asked him to take me home, now did I jackass? He seems to enjoy seeing my flustered state'
Not wanting to seem to overly upset. I smile and lift my face up to face him, leaning on the motorcycle with his eyes focused on me, as if to say , 'I'm waiting for you to answer'
"....Thank you"
His face brightens up, "You don't have to thank me, it's my pleasure" He says teasingly
'Yeah right! Then why did you ask me in the first place'
He seems likes he has gotten just what he wanted and is getting ready to leave now.
I feel a tinge of sadness but I don't know why.
Anyway, that feeling is quickly replaced with one of relief.
Just thinking what would happen If my parents where to have seen me with a boy sends shivers down my spine.
Did I just jinx myself? I hope not.
Right then, as if on cue.
I hear a loud recognizable voice booming from behind me.
"Honey!"
That shout seems to have induced a electrical reaction throughout my body.
I'm unable to move.
Slowing turning I see, the short man, walking towards me.
In his black suit, his tie is a bit loose as he just got off work.
He is carrying a parcel of some sort in one hand and a briefcase in the other with his suit jacket tucked under his arm.
"Look!" He says excitedly as he points to the Styrofoam package in his hand, "I've brought your favorite!!! tteokbokki"
I involuntarily utter a single word, "Dad?"
He seems to have noticed my current state and turns to look in the direction of who I was speaking to, noticing the tall boy and the proximity of the two of us.
He scrunches his nose as his face turns stern.
"And who is this?"
