Han Huang has three children. Both his older son and only daughter were in prison while the latter already lost her sanity. His most precious second son whom he had high hopes abandoned him.
He has normally a total of four grandchildren from the main family. Two of them were from his older son and one from each of the other children. The only grandson he had a weak body and eventually died later on. The younger sister was born after. This granddaughter of him was the first one to abandon the Han Family.
Since she was the daughter of the first son, she was the first to have an engagement although she wasn't aware of it since after her mother died, she never wanted to step on the main house ever again. From time to time, he would hear her different activities around the city. Although she never stepped the boundary to humiliate the Han Family, her actions were still signs of a young woman in rebellion.
The engagement was only a verbal agreement between the Chen and Han Family. So when she married herself off, he didn't look for her as Third Young Master Chen nonchalantly and indirectly suggested Han Meixiu.
He just hoped she's happily married as it was her choice.
Remembering the conversation that transpired between him and the Third Young Master Chen that time, it's now clear to him that probably Chen Dewei wanted Han Meixiu right from the start. Maybe he already met his granddaughter somewhere.
But it's no use realizing these things now.
It's too late. He already messed up. He hurt both of his granddaughters.
That's right, the two granddaughters of her who disobeyed him eventually ended up having a good life. The one who obeyed him ended up in a deep sh*t!
He should be punished severely. He normally wanted to end his life right away but death for him was a kind of privilege.
He shouldn't die easily. He should live his remaining life, no matter how short it would be, regretting and asking for forgiveness. If the time eventually comes that they would accept his apology, then he could finally rest.
With the newly found determination, Han Huang called pushed the button near his bed to call for the nurse.

"Why did you cry?" Liu Zijian's first set of words when he saw her enter his office.
"I was just a little emotional." She answered and smiled as if telling him that she's already okay. She also didn't know why recently she became like a cry baby. Her tears easily formed when her emotions were in complete chaos.
"Did something happen?" He continued to ask when Han Meixiu finally settled on the sofa located inside his office.
She shook her head and looked at her husband. She wanted to clarify something.
"The incident that Third Young Master Chen mentioned when we saw him, was it about me being married to him in a ridiculous manner?"
Liu Zijian nodded confirming her analysis.
"Your grandfather told you?" He wasn't actually surprised that the Old Han informed his wife about it. Normally, he wanted to accompany her in that visit but Han Meixiu insisted to go alone. Considering that she would have people escorting her to ensure her safety and this is Q City, his worries were not necessary.
"He did. Uhmm, can I visit cousin Yu?"
"Why?"
"I want to tell him something."
Liu Zijian didn't really like that guy. But since Han Meixiu wanted to talk to him, he would eventually see him again. Of course he didn't want her to go alone.

The three were sitting on the terrace of the most posh restaurant located in the heart of the city. The view of the night was spectacular as the skyline illuminated the entire city. Thousands to millions of lights that made the skyscrapers glittered endlessly was breath taking and waiting to be admired gloriously.
But only the young woman was able to appreciate their chosen location. The two men were quietly seated on their respective seat. Both were secretly observing one another as they sat opposite each other.
"Wow, I never thought there's a place like this in the heart of the city." She exclaimed with adoration. She seldom visited restaurant in this kind of caliber when she was still living in Q City as her best friend would always tell her there's no point of spending too much money if the food to be served was something they could do.
No matter how many times she explained that going in a restaurant wasn't just about eating food, Li Xiaozhi would reprimand her for wasting her money.
In the end they would settle for a simple restaurant that's not too far from their university or sometimes they would just cook.
Both Liu Zijian and Zhang Yu were caught off guard by her remarks.
"We..I mean you can visit similar restaurants with your husband, if you really like this kind of ambiance." Zhang Yu said.
He never would have imagined that his cousin wasn't familiar with this kind of place. But remembering the way she lived after leaving the Zhang's main house, he somewhat understood why she wasn't able to explore Q City that much.
Liu Zijian didn't comment. He just glanced shortly at the man who spoke. Though it's not the first time he visited this place, he's not a fan of eating out as well unless it was absolutely necessary.
"There are others?"
"Yes. I'm sure the Second Young Master Liu knows about them." Zhang Yu awkwardly answered as he felt the gaze of the other man.
When he received the call of his cousin, he immediately cancelled his appointments. He wanted to know what happened why she suddenly called him, He thought something bad occurred. But Han Meixiu just told him she wanted to express her gratitude. As for what she's thankful for, she didn't mention over the phone.
He thought it would only be Han Meixiu but he was beyond surprise when he saw Liu ZIjian standing next to her when they arrived in the restaurant.
As much as possible he wanted to minimize his interaction with Liu Zijian as their last meeting didn't really end in good terms.
Seeing the Second Young Master Liu wearing the same reaction when he last saw him, Zhang Yu knew that he still has that grudge for using Han Meixiu 'unintentionally'.
