Chương 3: Chapter Two:(Ryek)

I ran through the fields and woods towards town, sides burning, lungs heaving, and legs cramping something awful, but I kept running knowing that I'd die if I didn't. After what seemed like an eternity I finally saw the lanterns of town. I headed directly to the Inn, following my gut, which was telling me to get there at all costs. I was still running full tilt and ran in to the door. The door slammed open and I ran inside and closed it directly behind me. I looked around the inn making sure that I was going to be safe there for a while, so I could rest for a little bit before having to move on. I knew that I was going to be on the run, probably for the rest of my shortened life, because I knew eventually my luck would run out and they would catch me, probably torture and then kill me. As I slowly walked further into the Inn with my thoughts everywhere, I found myself gravitating towards the fireplace. I didn't notice him at first, but as I got closer to the fire, I noticed two things. I was drenched from the rain I ran through, and I noticed Him. Everyone knew who He was, so naturally I figured that even if they found me tonight they wouldn't dare make a move while He was here. I stood there before the fire for a while then turned to him and curtsied.
