Just like the first level, the tenth level was blank. The second to ninth levels were different though.
When I entered the second one, I found myself in a huge forest, and suddenly, without any warning, beasts attacked me. The other seven were the same, just changed the battlefield, with the beasts' power increasing with every level.
On the ninth level, there was only one beast, a sovereign level toad. The duration of the first attempt was at least a week. This was a way I would test myself with, we would fight for a day then I withdraw.
All in all, the ninth level took three years to be passed. And I would have some spare time to absorb the sovereign crystal of the green wood serpent. As for this, I also killed it, on a suicide attempt in using 'Bloodbath - Blood Snake'.
And as you have guessed, I had to endure the blabbering of Pangu after passing the ninth level. He kept talking that I could die, and that he was concerned for me. Perhaps he did, but I doubt it.
As I stepped in the tenth level, I saw the one that I had to fight. Fárbuati stood there in the white void holding a blue great sword in his hand. When he saw me he nodded and said, "Good. This is the final level in order to get the blade."
"What should I do?" I asked while narrowing my eyes.
"You should defeat me."
"You are kidding right? Even in the mansion, I couldn't even get a drop of blood out of you. How am I supposed to defeat you now?"
"Patience, boy!" he shouted, then he adjusted himself and said in a normal voice, "The lord of chaos has ordered me to shrink my cultivation level to the one of the seeker of the blades. And for you, I am going shrink my base into the early sovereign level.
"There is only one chance to succeed, no more. I will use this blade, it is called the Blade of Olympus. This sword was the one that enabled Zeus to defeat the titans in the first titan war."
I looked at him in suspicion and said, "Why are you telling me this?"
"Knowledge is a key of success, and knowing the blade's history is good."
"If I fail, will you kill me?"
"Perhaps yes and perhaps no. Depends on my decision."
I took a deep breath and said, "Alright then, let's fight."
Fárbuati nodded and lifted the great sword without any difficulty. I changed my wand into sword form and advanced with small steps.
As we always did in the Mansion of Night, we walked in a circle. Finally, we charged at one another and our swords clashed. Of course, I was sent flying backwards, while blood flowed out of my mouth.
I struggled to get up, with my dragon body helping me recover. I picked up my sword and then advanced once again. We continued the cycle at least a hundred times.
And rapidly, a year passed with our constant fights. This time, I was charging at Fárbuati yet again with my sword. However, I caught him off guard.
Once I was a meter from him, and our swords were about to clash, I changed the sword into a wand and chanted, "Expelliarmus!"
Instantly, the sword in Fárbuati's hands was thrown onto the ground. He looked stunned for a quick moment then realized what happened. He looked at me in a slight admiration and said, "Not bad. You have passed the test."
A round staircase appeared in the middle of the blank void. I looked at Fárbuati and he nodded. I climbed the stairs till I saw a vision.
In that vision, I saw a one bladed axe, with spell symbols on it. A man was holding that axe. However, the man suddenly disappeared and the axe exploded into ten pieces.
The vision ended, and I saw that I was holding a piece of that axe. The fourth piece of Pangu is now in my possession!
I looked around me and I noticed that I was back outside the tower, with Fárbuati standing guard at its entrance. Also, Tulip was standing in the same spot that I left her in.
I looked at her and shook my head, then I said, "You stayed here in these five years, didn't you?"
She nodded her head but didn't say anything. I looked at Fárbuati and he said, "Don't look at me like that. She was too stubborn."
I just shook my head and held her in my arms and said, jokingly, "When I tell you to do something, you listen."
Oh yes, she punched me! But it was strange, since it contained all her power, which I couldn't estimate. Then this has only one explanation....
"You became a sovereign?" I asked suspiciously. She nodded and said, "Still, I can't hurt you. Your body is extremely strong."
"Um... Yeah," I said, "So now my girlfriend is more powerful than me with one level. I have to catch up."
Fárbuati coughed to get our attention, and when he did he said, "The blade has been taken. I would see you at another tower. Now, I must go."
We nodded, and just like that, the tower disappeared along with our senior brother.
