Laz sat there staring at the two of them, both seemingly fuming about something while thinking of that magical word, revenge.

"You know what? I don't want to know anymore. I did my part, you're here. So unless you're targeting Leo or his sister, I don't want anything to do with it," Laz said, wanting to distance himself from this sticky situation.

"And what if I am targeting them?" Brittany asked with a bit of a sneer.

Both women were taken aback by the change in Laz's face and demeanor when the question was asked.

"I'll kill you!" was Laz's simple response. Despite saying it at barely above a whisper, it felt like a loud boom went off in Brittany's head and she could have sworn she saw something like death open an eye from behind Laz and focus it right on her.

"I uh... No. I mean... it's not him... honest. And I don't even know who his sister is..."
