Chương 84: Bullies(6)

So distraught that she couldn't even say anything, Liz was just about to run forward but she was stopped when the CEO raised his arm in front of her, saying, "Don't panic. He's fine. Just watch."

Liz was in such a state of panic that she couldn't even comprehend what the CEO was saying. Derek was the most important person in her life, and she just couldn't bear it if anything happened to him.

She was about to continue, but she paused when she saw him getting back up shakily.

"YOU CAN'T KEEP ME DOWN! I'VE HAD ENOUGH! I'M SAYING THIS FOR ALL THE KIDS YOU BULLY! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT DUMB KIDS WHO ARE JEALOUS! EVERYONE, COME ON! WE CAN STAND UP!"

"B-but we didn't-"

This was the response from one of the kids who was standing in front of him, but Derek's loud scream stopped him before he could finish.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"

Clutching his stomach as if he had been punched again, Derek fell on the ground, prompting 4 other kids to run to him from the crowd.

Two of these were blonde twins, who first adorably checked on him before standing up and pointing at the two bullies again.

"I'M WITH DEREK! BAD BULLIES!"

Along with that shout, more and more students started to crowd around Derek. Saying similar things in their cute high-pitched noises.

Even the teachers who were overseeing the recess were whispering among themselves, as they knew that these two kids were the sons of the board members.

Hence, they had no option but to wait for the principal, who walked out of the school door before shouting, "ENOUGH! NURSE, TAKE DEREK TO THE INFIRMARY! YOU TWO, WITH ME TO MY OFFICE! I'll BE CALLING YOUR PARENTS!"

The two kids, who still had faces as if they weren't understanding what was going on, flinched at the shout from the principal and followed him into the school.

They knew that their parents could get them out of any trouble, but they still had very puzzled expressions on their faces.

Meanwhile, Liz's eyes were still fixed on Derek, who was on the ground.

She made to run forward again, but the CEO spoke again, stopping her.

He had been looking at her all this while, and he had been quite enraptured by the pure fear and worry that had clouded her face when she thought that her brother was injured.

This kind of pure love was something that was rare, and he knew this more than anyone due to his childhood.

Hence, he had just continued to watch, but he spoke now seeing that Liz would run forward again.

"He's acting. He's fine."

These simple words got into Liz's head, making her ask, "Acting? Are you sure?"

"Of course, it's our plan."

Hearing this response, Liz finally relaxed a little and took a step back.

"Let me explain."

Nodding, Liz listened as Will put forward the entire plan he had hatched with Derek.

Throughout the narration, Liz's face underwent many changes in expression, from surprise to admiration to pride to finally, excitement.

She really had to praise the CEO, as this was something that she could never have come up with alone.

The last expression was because she was looking forward to the next part of the plan, which would be very…satisfying to watch.

In the principal's office.

The two bullies were sitting idly in their chairs, looking around as if they had done nothing wrong.

Meanwhile, the principal was viewing what had happened outside on the ground during recess through the CCTV footage that had been recorded.

Derek had been playing as usual, but these two had walked up to him.

However, they just said some things, before Derek moved forward towards them.

Through the grainy footage, the principal couldn't clearly see what the bullies did in return, but Derek was lying on the ground after that with pain.

He had also apparently screamed, as he had gathered the attention of all the teachers and students on the ground.

The rest had been witnessed by the principal with his own eyes, which he now used to glare at the two kids.

However, they didn't care.

"You two will get it now! I have the video recording! There's no way your parents will be able to do anything! Why did you hurt that little kid?!"

"Whatever, old man. We didn't even hit him. He's just overacting."

"Preposterous! You are talking to the principal! Your parents are on their way!"

In response to this, both the kids only looked at him with disdain, making the principal fume and sit silently.

20 minutes later, the doors opened to reveal a woman and a man who were wearing expensive suits that easily cost $10,000 each.

With an expression of exasperation, the man said, "What is it now?", while the woman also folded her hands and glared at the principal.

"Sir, ma'am. Your kids have taken it too far! There's even video recording! They HAVE to be punished!"

"You don't decide what happens in the school. Smudge the recording. Kid, I told you not to be so dumb as to do stuff in public places."

"Son, I told you, too. Just do it, principal. We will write another cheque to the school. And don't call us for something so simple. We earn more in an hour than what you make in a month. Goodbye."

Speaking to both the kids, the parents were about to leave, but they were stopped by someone who had just appeared at the door.
