It's true that I haven't read anything about the Silk Road either—at least not something fictional. Good to see someone addressing it ❤︎ Wished it was more fictional though, with a different world background and some interesting characters. Overall 👍🏽

Read up to chapter 7. Not a fan of history but decided to give a try and see what it's made off. It's nice and interesting. Grammar is done well. The mistakes I detect were repetition of words, one which I pointed out in the paragraph comment. Overall is going fine! Give it a read!

Part of a review swap The book is based on 'history' and revolves around facts related to Silk road. I would recommend this book to all the readers who wish to know about asian culture and history. Not many chapters have been written yet, but I desire to read more. I am waiting for more chapters. Author, congratulations on a wonderful beginning. Keep up with your hard work.

I am not a historian but this is quite fun to read. It's a story that tells the history that connects everyone. Terms used in this novel is good to be shared because it consists of culture that probably 21st-century people doesn't know about or clueless of it. Give it a read and you will understand what I mean.

Go rin no sho in third person. This review is part of a review swap (I apologise for being tardy). This is just about as far from western writing as you can get. While the language used is superb compared to the average on this site it's a hard read if you expect a story built according to, for example, the structure given by Joseph Campbell. Rather than story I'd call this history. I'm not talking about the prose and execution you'd expect from a history book published today in the European or American sphere, but rather the kind you'd run into a couple of hundred years ago in the far east. Some older Arabian writing should also fit in pretty well. Given those boundaries it's done very well, but those are harsh boundaries indeed. There is a narrative, but the vast majority of the text is exposition. You'll either have to buy into this, or just drop it altogether. There's simply no middle way. Now for the stars: Writing: Five stars. Not much to comment here. Updates: Five stars. A mere seventeen chapters isn't enough for me to check updates. Story: Four stars. It develops, but as I've stated earlier, this isn't a story in the ordinary way at all. Character: Three stars. The people in the story are there as reader proxies to explore a world and a time in a fictional universe. They aren't there to experience that world themselves. World: Five stars. This is basically all about world. Everything else takes a back seat. Lastly: An interesting experiment. It's not my cup of tea, but it's still a very well executed experiement.

Okay. For those who are into short stories and Asian culture, this is the book for you! The grammar is really good for a novice writer and some of the stories are really chilling given that they are based on real life events. This really needs to be turned into a book!

For a first book, I will rate it this way. The writing quality is quite good for a beginner. Your use of the english words is commendable despite few errors that are ignorable. The storyline deserves an applaud since you are basing it on a true historical events and perspectives. Not many deeds from your characters for now, so its a bit difficult to place them. But, I realky admire the story historical background, very good. I don't blame you for the updates as a writer myself. Applaud 👏.

As the story developed slowly, it reminds me the historical chinese or korean dramas which i had seen, though it is about different subject. I got to know about the silk road in the history classes in the school. The story gives you minute details and it's good that the author clarified some things in the first chapter itself. It makes reading the story more simpler. There are grammatical mistakes since english is author's third language, but they are not that major that will make reading difficult. You only need some more practice in this area to improve this. All in all this story is more a knowledge enhancer about Silk Road for those who don't know about it.

The main idea of this story is to draw attention to the theme of "Silk Road". This path was connected with other "World Paths" and allowed the exchange of information, techniques, culture goods. Those who controlled these paths could have an impact on the economy and politics of countries that were associated with this path. Thus, thanks to the Silk Road, new food products appeared in those countries where they did not exist before. There are new culinary dishes - pedmeni, noodles, steamed buns, manti. Without them, the modern kitchen of the Silk Road regions would lose a lot in understanding the taste. The author hopes that even despite the not very good English text of the story I have written, the information will be interesting to the reader. The Silk Road theme needs a good novel, until I saw it, a good writer may appear and create such a novel or be interested in writing it. Then my goal for writing this short story will be achieved. P. S. Perhaps I will add a new era - namely, the period from the 19th century to the 20th century (its middle).
