Chương 88: The Bet

Siu Lan was taken aback by An Ran's question. The possibility that she would lose had never crossed her mind! But what An Ran Jie said made sense, they needed to have a fair bet. "What do you want from me?" Siu Lan threw the question at Feng Xiao Qing.

Feng Xiao Qing really felt exasperated. She didn't even know this Siu Lan before today. So what kind of thing she possibly wanted from her?! Feng Xiao Qing acted like a little meek rabbit that was put in the spotlight. She hesitantly said, "Err... Jie jie... we don't even know each other before this... I... I... I don't know what you have and what you can offer for me..."

Feng Xiao Qing wanted Siu Lan to be the one who came up with the bet. If she said the same thing as Siu Lan who wanted to kick her out of this company, she would look like a ruthless person despite being a newbie. She didn't want her image to be tainted because of an unknown person.

The onlookers nodded their head in unison. They pitied this lovely girl. She was a target of jealousy just because she was treated a little bit better. She didn't try to put on air and ask the same demand to kick out Siu Lan from the company --- she even respected Siu Lan by calling her Jie Jie!

The other trainees saw this and they felt glad that they didn't bother to follow Siu Lan. As far as they saw, this Feng Xiao Qing didn't seem to be a simple person. She could make the public opinions on her side and they saw Siu Lan as an unreasonable person. Her image had plummeted to the ground.

An Ran patted Feng Xiao Qing's shoulder, trying to comfort her. Then she talked to Siu Lan with a soft chiding tone, "Look! Xiao Qing isn't as ruthless as you. Both of you are trainees... you should be taking care of each other. Why is there a need to make such an excessive demand?"

There was a glint of ruthlessness in Siu Lan's eyes. In her mind, An Ran was already biased and she kept protecting Feng Xiao Qing. However, she was actually the one who was biased. An Ran was trying to give her a way out. If Feng Xiao Qing won, didn't she have to leave this company? An Ran didn't want that to happen, after all, they were from the same company.

Jealous women were always thinking negatively and her mind worked in a crazy way. This was indeed true.

"A bet is a bet ah~ An Ran Jie. How can you be so biased?" Siu Lan asked politely but with a hint of mockery. She had thought that the win was within her grasps.

An Ran gave up on this idiot. If she didn't want a way out then she would just let her be. Even after failing for a debut because of her arrogant behavior, she still didn't try to change herself! There was no use for their company to train this kind of people.

"What do you think?" An Ran asked Feng Xiao Qing for her opinion.

"Er... I don't want to make it difficult for anyone. A simple sorry is enough for me," Feng Xiao Qing answered in a righteous way.

The way she answered really made Siu Lan want to vomit blood. She could hear the murmur of the onlookers.

"What a magnanimous person!"

"She's a newbie and yet she's so kindhearted to the evil senior!"

"Yes... the world will be a better place with people like her..."

"If I was her, I would ask for the same bet. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth!"

"Indeed... but she's too kind ah~ My heart aches for her."

Feng Xiao Qing smirked inwardly when she heard what the people said. It was better to look stupid and weak, she hid her claws deep inside... At least, people would tend to choose to help her if she handled the enemies this way.

An Ran nodded when she heard what Feng Xiao Qing proposed. This arrangement would be better.

"Okay then... so one month from now on, there will be dancing and singing battle between Xiao Qing and Siu Lan. If Xiao Qing wins, Siu Lan should apologize. On the other hand, if Siu Lan wins, Xiao Qing will be kicked out from the company and Siu Lan will be personally handled by me. How?" She asked both of them.

The onlookers shook their head, knowing that this bet was indeed unfair. However, both sides seemed to be nodded in concern. They were only bystanders so what could they do? All of them hoped that the winner would be Feng Xiao Qing. They shook their head when they saw the shameless Siu Lan.

"Even though if she wins, won't she feel ashamed with this kind of bet?" One of the onlookers said.

The others nodded but they didn't comment on it anymore.

Siu Lan asked once more, "Who will be the judge?" Siu Lan was worried that if An Ran was the judge, she would be biased and choose Feng Xiao Qing as the winner. If she knew An Ran's personality and reputation, she wouldn't think this way... but, she was too agitated because of her ambition to win!

"I will be the judge!" Suddenly a low and enchanting male voice floated to their ears.
