Viết đánh giáKing Avatar Review What is your opinion on The King's Avatar? I'm a big fan of the novel "The King's Avatar"(全职高手). This anime adaptation did a great job in terms of graphics and voice acting. However, it tries to cover the first 250+ chapters of the novel in 12 short episodes. So a lot of fun materials were left out. And many new characters show up in each episode with little introduction. It's no wonder many viewers who have not read the novel feel a bit lost. I'm going to provide some background information below to help viewers understand the plot better. I'll trying to put in as few spoilers as possible. ==========SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!============== What is Ye Xiu's main goal in the anime? Ye Xiu was (unjustly) forced to retire from the pro league by Excellent Era, his former team. But he wants to return to the pro league in a year or so. He will have to 1) level up Lord Grim, his new character, and 2) upgrade his self-made weapon. The latter requires lots of rare crafting materials. So he has to go into the game and clear dungeons, kill dungeon bosses, break records, etc, in order to get crafting materials & other drops, etc. He met two very talented newbies: Bao, Rongxing (Steam Bun Invasion) and Tang, Rou (Gentle Mist). He also got to know "Qiao, Yifan" (One Inch Ash), who was a sub in a pro team but never had a chance to play a match. These players, along with Su, Mucheng, a female pro player from Excellent Era and his long-time friend, often battle together with Ye Xiu in the dungeons. So far all battles take place in the online game and not in the pro league yet. But Ye Xiu sees great potential in these players and plans to form a team with them and return to the pro league together. How does his goal interfere with major guilds in the game? Major guilds also need to collect crafting materials and provide them to the pro teams behind them. Also, they want to set quests records, get first kills of dungeon bosses, etc, in order to establish their fame & prestige in the game. So Lord Grim & his team become their most formidable opponents. They are no match for Ye Xiu's skills. Eventually they have to ask their pro teams for help. Leaders of these guilds didn't know who was behind Lord Grim until much later, when their pro players step in. What is "Unspecialized"? "Glory" has 24 occupations divided into 6 categories. A new player can initially learn any of the 120 low-level (<level 20) skills from any occupation. Upon reaching level 20, one will typically specialize in an occupation and lose his/her non-occupation skills. An "Unspecialized" character is someone who doesn't specialize even after level 20. Advantage: all 120 low-level skills are open to an Unspecialized even after level 20, allowing one to have numerous fast & crazy combos unthinkable to other occupations. Disadvantages: 1) One has to be an all-occupation expert (aka全职高手, literal translation of the Chinese title) to play Unspecialized effectively. 2) One has to switch weapons when using skills from different occupations. Switching weapons have long cool-down time, and carrying multiple weapons adds extra weight on player and reduces speed. 3) Unspecialized won't have high-level, high-damaging skills. Ye Xiu is the only all-occupation expert in the novel. And he has the unique "Thousand Chance Umbrella" which can transform into different forms, so he doesn't have to switch weapons. That’s why he’s the one-and-only Unspecialized player in the game. Hope this helps.
