Chương 15: It is my modus

Boss Fang entered the kitchen with a wide grin on his face, exuding confidence and authority. Two of his loyal gang members swiftly positioned themselves near the exits on opposite sides of the room, ready to ensure security and control the environment.

As the intruders made their sudden entrance, Mr. Ming observed their arrival with surprising calm, while Taf stood there, clearly astonished by the unexpected turn of events.

'Damn it! When did these bastards follow me?

I swear I took detour after detour to ensure I wasn't, just in case. I was careless; this is not good.

Ok, think!

...think!

...think!" Taf continued to berate himself while trying to keep calm.

"Runt! Thought everything was wrapped neatly in a bow, fine and dandy, huh? I saw clues of your intent the moment you started hollering."

Boss Fang uttered as he saw the startling revelation dawn on Taf,

"Not bad, though; you even impressed me with your act.

I would have encouraged you to join the theatre, but I don't think they will accept a dead corpse." Boss Fang's grin started looking diabolic the more he spouted.

Taf remained oblivious to him as a multitude of different scenarios continued to unfold in his mind.

'At the very least, I must ensure old man Ming is not hurt. How could I live with myself if I let him get injured because of my own stupidity?'

" Old man, you have excellent business here. Nice... nice indeed. I'm also a businessman.

A philanthropist in some regards, he said, "I'll take 70% of your day's earnings." "Considering the circumstances, that sounds like a good gesture; what do you think?" Boss Fang remarked while nonchalantly using a toothpick.

" ...Or I could take a 100% and break your meagre old legs. I'm sure you would score pity points with the guests as you crawl on the floor to welcome them."

The kitchen echoed with the laughter of the gang members as their boss, Boss Fang, entertained them with his jokes. Despite the jovial atmosphere, Old Ming remained undisturbed, exuding an air of calm composure as he allowed Boss Fang to revel in his moment of amusement.

"You know I like monologues.

Do you know why I like them so much, Taf?

It's simple; it gives me an indication of how much pain to inflict."

Old man Ming smiled warmly and gently patted Taf's shoulder, offering reassurance to calm his tiny racing heart.

"Small monologues, slightly less severe pain, and longer ones get severe pain.

Then there are those with threats to me or the ones I love. Now, that's a no-no, and those are ranked in the category of death by excruciating pain.

I call it 'Hell has no fury like my own; it is my modus." Old man Ming stared at the visitor with no change in his demeanour. It was as though all was in his sphere of control.

Taf was taken aback by the words spoken by old man Ming. All the scenarios in his head started to fade, and one final dawned on him.

Boss Fang had an ominous feeling as the words were spoken.

His skin started to crawl, and for some reason, fear crept into his heart. Boss Fang was extremely scared as he realized that he may have overplayed his hand and unwillingly stuck his head into the welcoming mouth of a tiger.

'Wh- who the hell is this guy?!'He subconsciously thought.

"First lesson, Taf: Be aware of your surroundings. Sometimes, they might be your greatest asset. Use them to your advantage to strike a devastating blow to your enemies."

As old man Ming spoke, he swiped a knife from the counter. As if cutting through butter, the nearest gang member's throat was sliced without him being able to lift a finger to defend himself.

His hands grappled for his throat as blood gushed forth, washing the floor red.

The kitchen fell into utter silence as his actions left everyone in shock, with no sound except for the echoes of disbelief.

" You killed him?!" Boss Fang was struck by a shiver as his knees began to buckle. He stood frozen, engulfed in utter confusion, trying to comprehend what had just taken place.

"Yes, indeed. Hmmm! I know you feel left out, but hush, old Ming never forgot about you. In fact, you're old Ming's second lesson."

Ming's face was adorned with what seemed to be a genuinely sincere smile, but to Fang, it appeared more sinister and menacing than even the devil's own grin.

" PLEASE, I HAVE SEEN MY FAULTS. PLEASE, I BEG YOU SPARE ME!" Boss Fang's desperate pleas filled the icy air as he found his feet frozen solid to the ground.

Old Ming pressed on with his lecture, his voice unwavering. "To those who seek to cause harm to you and your loved ones, remember this second lesson: may the thought of hell be merely a passing vacation destination in their minds."

Boss Fang raced forward with the speed of a gust of wind, only to discover a figure lounging lazily, awaiting his arrival.

"I see you finally decided to run. How can I showcase my skills if you had just trembled in fear?"

Old Ming effortlessly dodged a punch thrown at him, swiftly evading the blow. In response, a barrage of powerful kicks followed, shattering the nearby tables into splintered halves

"Taf, do you see what this idiot is doing wrong?he has focused only on power and neglected agility. What's the use of having all that power if they can't land a hit on their opponent?"

Taf was taken aback by the unexpected turn of events. As he watched in astonishment, boss Fang flung kicks and punches, but they appeared to have no effect other than causing damage to the surrounding furniture.

"I grow tired of you. It's time for you to die, and as I remember, I did promise you the most excruciating of deaths. I see it's finally ready; it took long enough."

Swiftly, Mr Ming drew for a pot that had flames under it. The pot boiled, and the contents seemed to be smelting hot. He then threw all the contents on Boss Fang's head.

" Argh, fuck, it burns, Fucking help me, you bastards!" Boss Fang ran to no avail, only managing to make it close to the door before collapsing dead.

" What's more painful than a pot of oil all over one's head?

Sigh!

Upon witnessing Fang's collapse, Mr. Ming shook his head and uttered, "What an unfortunate turn of events. Now Taf, the third lesson is...

absolutely no one survives."

The irony of this chapter was when i intially started writing it was suppose to be more comedy, but then as I wrote my mind went elsewhere. Where ever it goes I go with it.
