Author's Comments at the End of the Journey

Dear readers,
I would like to express my gratitude and thanks to all you readers who have been following Be My Strength since the beginning. The 7/8 months journey of writing has been tough and without you guys and your constant support through Discord chat and comments, I would not be able to do this.
Completing a novel is harder than starting one!
So, as per every other contracted book out there, this book started off as a hobby and a free-to-read book, but as the readers grew, I found it hard to find enough time to write more chapters. Thus, after months of consideration, I decided to sign a contract with Webnovel.
With the money that I earned from here, I eventually moved from working a full-time job to a part-time job and eventually, I decided to quit and live on savings so that I can focus on writing for now.
Now, I know that some people might think that all authors earn a lot here based on the latest news, but honestly, that's not the truth. In addition to the fact that authors don't earn from free SS (those that you get for free daily through check-in and bonus), authors have to split the money with Webnovel as well.
Furthermore, without getting a banner or being featured in a good position, authors like me barely earned enough to cover the living expenses.
When I started writing BMS, I knew that it would not be that popular as I didn't want to write a happy-go-lucky "fast food" story. I wanted to write something more serious and more in-depth, something that could make people think more.
As a reader, I realized that there are not that many novels out there that portray a flawed female protagonist - "flawed" in the eyes of the society - and it has been something that bothered me; it was also the reason why I started writing this novel. I just kept going at it hoping that it could help others, even in the slightest way, to deal with whatever they were going through in real life.
And I sincerely hope that BMS can help someone who, like our Kai Xin, is silently suffering out there. You're never alone in this world, and no matter what, don't give up.
To all the new readers, I hope that all of you would be able to enjoy Be My Strength as well.
