Chương 17: Grim Reaper or the Devil
"Pftt....ha...ha...ha..."
Ning Rui could not contain her stifle laughter. So she laughed until her stomach cramping and tears could be seen hanging in her phoenixes eyes. It actually an alluring sight.
"You...you how dare you messing around with me! Don't you know the only one that can help you is me! Humph now even if you kneel and pleads I won't help you! Such ungrateful woman!"
Hearing her melodious laughter he feel resentment but also a lost his soul as if sucking out from the body. Her sight really like a honey bee, it's enticing but hateful with a bittersweet taste he restrained the anger that bubbling inside the heart.
Ungrateful? Help? If he really can help her why should he wait until now when the verdict has been passed down. Did he thought she is stupid. But Ning Rui didn't give him any respond. Too much of a hassle. It's better to preserve her energy for her upcoming battle.
Not long after that, the preludes of the symphony starts. Her stage and her fate start rolling from the moment they meet. The uncontrollable fate between two people and two lifetimes couldn't be avoided. Will they end with tragedy? Or will they found eternal happiness?
"Young Master there is a message for you from the General, he need your presence immediately!"
A soldier with a big muscle come in and break they deadly stare contest. More precisely his stare at her, if his stare could kill Ning Rui sure he will be overjoyed. Anyway she feels relieved he left her. That stares even if she is a modern woman Ning Rui feels there is a hole that he make from it.
Not long after the young guard go away a silhouette break in to her tent. The soldier in front of the door didn't even notice. His face couldn't be seen because he wear a black cloak that cover him up from head to toe.
Ning Rui look up, but because the darkness she could not differentiate wether he is a friend or foe. There's no unique design in the cloak, what a careful man! Or should she said what a clever man. No shrewd man! He come in not long after the Young Guard out the tent that mean the soldier before is his teammates.
"You came as soon as that young master go. Does that mean you has another spy here? But I am only a little girl ah what can I do?"
The black robe man : "...."
"At least I have the right to know who killed me and why am I killed right?"
The black robe man : "...."
"Aiya.... you have a family right?" Ning Rui tried to change the topic.
"Nonsense!" There's anger in the voice.
What about nonsense! She only try to change the subject for conversation because the black robe man didn't answer her question Ah!
"You didn't do anything. It just convenient for me if you dead."
It's a chilly voice, Ning Rui thought she will be able to recognize him if he talk that's why she try to make a conversation. But who knew even he changed his voice. Unnatural pronounciation can be detected. And he seems so confident that no one will discover his action.
"Then should I said you were bold or idiot? Do you think the General would leave me alone? What if I killed my self. They won't be able to recover the map. After all they thought I take it."
"No need to worry! The map will be found on your dead body."
Wh....what does that mean? If the map were to be found on my body they won't search it any more. Then?
"You....you..."
'Am I going to die?' No ah! Ning Rui haven't do anything here. She does not reconciled ah. She thinks at last the General will come and save her if she give her little life as guaranteed. She will pretend to be the scapegoat but who know they didn't appreciate it. Where is the Guard ah? She should just run at that time ah. The devil really heartless. That is right! Even if she died The General won't take any loss! She is just an insignificant woman no girl! There are many that can take her place and they also didn't know each other before!
The man coming closer to Ning Rui. He take out a little sword from behind and spin it in his hand.
A look of terror can be seen in her face. She was devastated. How cruel! They are so cruel! She curse them! They will die a more violent death! No they will live a life that's more painful than death! It's to easy to let them off with death!
"At least give me a quick death."
She lost her hope. The gream reaper stood in front of her with a determination. You really should not count the chicken before it hatched ah. If there's an afterlife she hope to killed them first.
