Chương 7: Meeting the General 2
The cried reverberated to the entire tent and bring a chills all over the soldiers.
The Young Guard shock and get flustered.
"Um... Bro.... Big Bro...."
"Shut up!"
"...." I have not even said anything yet!
the General frown and hammered the table . A crack can be seen after the hit. Ning Rui that cry immediately stopped. But her frightened face still remains.
'What an incredible strength, can he snap a human neck until the human die? I bet he can right?' Ning Rui thought.
"I hate weak and crying woman the most, so shut up!"
'Sob...sob...'
Ning Rui become intimidated, she know that woman is a meaningless thing at the ancient time. They can be replaced anytime. As they task were serving the husband, give birth to children and raise them. If you could not give birth your position would not be assured. 'Woman was not less than a piggy livestock.' Ning Rui thought.
The only kind of woman that can stand for herself is they that has a power. Power! She hate it the most. It's only a burden. You can lose and drowned in power then destroy everything you have and build painstakingly. Ning Rui and power, she is afraid that they're not compatible.
"Who are you? What are you doing at the foot of mountain?" The General start the interrogations session.
"My...my name is hic Ni(ng) Ru(i)...." Ning Rui answer with mumble, her voice almost could not be heard. Unfortunately both of them is a martial arts practitioner so they can hear her answer.
"And...and I...I don't remember anything."
"If you try to fools me then I will kill you."
The General voice is so cold. And she is sure that this people will really do that. But what can her do? She really doesn't remember anything at all ah! Even 'Ning Rui' is her name before she reincarnated. This damnable typical male lead is... .
'Am I going to die again? No, I don't wanna!' Her nerves suddenly got pulled. The fear that she felt vanished and instead there's hatred.
'Why? Why did they treat her like this?' They look at her with contempt as if she is a bug that can be trampled. Even rabbits that got cornered can bit. She inhaled a mouthful of air and answer unhurriedly. Her voice are firm and steady,
"The first time I opened my eyes I am inside a tattered hut, you will find it if you search around the way when you capture me. My hands already tied behind my back. Do you remember that? And I cannot remember anything except my name."
"Why did you ran to the mountain?"
"Well, I don't remember anything about me nor what happened to me before and from the situation I thought someone kidnap me. I don't know who friends or foe so rather than go to town and get kidnap again I would rather go to the mountain. Even if I could not hunt a prey at least there are fruits."
"How did you know that the opposite of the mountain there's a town?"
"Do you think I am a fool. In this kind of time there's not much people that will chose a mountain as their dwelling oh I mean home. It's rather troublesome and you didn't know what kind of beast in there." If the villagers can fight, actually mountain is a pretty good choice. Alas its not the time ye. Bandits, kidnappers like you all even killers usually chose mountain as their base so it's dangerous.
"If you didn't know what kind of beast at there. Why did you chose mountain?"
What did they bent ask me about the mountain? Is there a treasure? Heh, no way! If that's the case there should be a guard. I want to ask what's with the mountain but, will they answer me? Should I try? Or not? Hah... let's just answer their question.
"What are you thinking! Answer me!!!" The General lost his patience before long.
"Well between human and beast if I must chose as my opponent of course I would rather chose beast. I can just climb a tree that's big enough to support my weight." ' Peh...peh... You believe me right Mr. General just buy it buy my nonsense!'
"He he he."
At least a beast would not stab Ning Rui from behind (betraying), well at most they will ambush their prey. She just needs to avoid their nest and their hunting area.
"Heh brother, she is rather a sly one"
The young guard give a comment after heard the conversation.
'You're sly and all of your family are sly. He must be trying to kill me. ' Ning Rui cursed the young guard inside her heart.
"I only answer what you ask."
Why did you make my life difficult little one? Just wait until I kick your family assets!
