A young man walked the corridors to ducking as he saw men approaching. "You hear about the men out east?"
"Yeah, they were slaughtered. I wonder why the council is doing this?"
"Maybe it's because of HU-NT-3R?"
"You mean Hunter? Maybe but if that was the case, then why attack their own men?"
"Who knows? Maybe they were planning on joining him and turning their backs on us?"
The young man listened to the two soldiers as he slipped pasted them. He walked into a room and waited for them to leave. The two men soon left but Lily and Erin walk by, the young man stood in horror as they stopped just in front of the door.
"Erin, do you think that everything is going as planned? I mean, I have heard rumours that Azoth might have an enforcer killing anyone who talks about Hunter." Lily calmly asked. Her voice meeked as the man watched them.
"I know, that's why we need to ask him? I have a feeling this isn't his doing? As this would be more of my doing? I am the only one who has enforcers? This whole thing feels off?" Erin explained as she cradled her chest in her arms.
Lily nodded at her argument. "That is true? I will call for a meeting with his majesty and ask for a council meeting. We will ask him then?"
Erin nodded as she sighed heavily. "Your right, let us just hope my suspicions are wrong, and he works for Azoth. Besides, it not like the culprit is listening if he isn't Azoths new toy." Erin exclaimed as they walked off.
The man walked out of his hiding spot and made his way to Vann's workshop. The dust covering the room was thick as Vann no longer used the room. The young man pulled out dragon skin and scales and some metal and began to forge a weapon.
He filed and inspected each piece as he began to assemble the weapon. It started to resemble a handgun as he looked at his work. He noticed he had enough material to make another, and so he did. Making two guns made from dragon skin and metal.
"There, they are done. Thank you, Harpoon, for you this. I am just glad your death will not be in vain. Now to use up the rest of this threyanite to make the cartage. Then the scales to make the bullet casings." The man said ton himself with pride. "Now, what should I use for the bullets themselves?"
He looked around to find sunstone growing off in the corner. "No way? Let us see here…fire, nature, light, ice—Oh nice holy and chaos that will come in handy? Now, what else do we have growing here? Oh, okay, never would I thought this was here?"
The man broke off a piece and inspected it. "Cultivated nature-ice that is going to be interesting to use?" He picked the sunstones and started shaping them into bullets while crushing the rest into powered. He then placed the dust into the casings and then tapped the sunstone bullets into place.
"Now, to see if this will work. I need to be more careful for now as if I get caught, it is all over." The man pulled out a mask from his bag and put it on.
He looked out the doorway to see that is was dark out. Glancing around, the young man swiftly moved down the halls to where he had entered. Checking around every corner and intersection along the way.
He stopped as he saw Azoth walking down from where he entered.
"Are you sure you are going to be alight?" a man's voice asked.
"Yes, whoever this masked man is, he will pay for his treachery. Yet he is making sure that everything about Hunter is kept under wraps until otherwise." Azoth answered him. "What about you, Vail? I hear you and Crow got married, and she is now pregnant?"
Vail sighed as the young man glanced around the corner. "Yes, that is true. We are going to her parent's place and have the baby there. Crow will be out of commission until our son is born."
Azoth raised his brow. "Oh, how do you know it's a boy?"
Vail gritted his teathe before answering him, "A man from the future told me. I don't know how, but he was able to communicate with me. Blast if I remembered his name." Vail turned toward the young man's hiding spot.
The young man ducked behind the pillar as he continued to listen. "Well, it matters not. Lovell is dead and out of our way. As well as Kyle. Hunter might not be dead, but the Ren-Ky are easy pickings if we can find and kill them."
Vail turned to Azoth, "You think I didn't know that! Kyle was my younger brother! And—" Vail yelled at Azoth.
Azoth glared at him, shutting him up, "Be lucky you did not end up like him as you are more valuable alive than dead! Do I make myself clear?!" Azoth bellowed.
Vail gritted his teeth in protest. "Fine, I get that now that I am seen as a traitor to the resistance I cannot send information back. Meaning I have no choice but to be here, as a councillor."\
Azoth smiled as he placed his hand on Vails's shoulder. "Yes, and do not forget that. Because that is how you will be dealt with. As you are now unaffected by the darkness fever, thanks to Lovell." Azoth squeezed Vails shoulder in anger.
Vail grabbed his hand, "Yes, I understand. Now let me go. I have to pack soon, and Crow is waiting for me in our room." Vail pulled Azoth off and walked away.
Azoth glared at him as he walked towards the young man. The man held his breath and closed his eyes, vanishing into the shadows. Azoth looked over to him but saw nothing and walked away. The young man looked over to see if Azoth was gone and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Man, I need to learn how to utilize my magic more if I am going to help the others by Junra next year." The young man whispered to himself. As he hurried over to his exit. "I hope I can get people to help me with training everyone as they are going to need it." The young man slipped into is exit out. Making sure to seal it behind him. As if he was never there.
