I have to say the ratings really got me good for this novel. I had high expectations, but after reading just a few chapters, I was disappointed and it ruined my day. The first two chapters weren't bad, but after he goes to school (like chapter 3 or 4) tasked with the mission of finding a girlfriend, it goes downhill fast from there. The MC, Alex, finds a random girl he bumps into and decides she's the one who will become his girlfriend. We then are led into the classroom where Alex just stares at the girl the whole day, and I LITERALLY MEAN THE WHOLE DAY. The author clearly states that Alex looked at her the whole time in class. Along with some face slapping of the teachers, having Alex answer the difficult questions posed by the teacher for not paying attention in class. Only for the teachers to be ashamed and do nothing but walk away embarrassed. This is the same thing as the young master trope in Wuxia's. The craziest thing of all though, is when the MC stalks our female lead back home and gets taken into custody by police. From there, he starts showing us his skills and engaging with the whole police station (approximately 16+ people) in a shoot-out using live ammo. But the craziest part is how vague everything is. Alex is said to have crawled into the ventilation shaft (how? does he fit? how does he even get to the ceiling where it is?). Then there's this passage, "When Alex got to the entrance of the police station, as expected a dozen officers were blocking the entrance . These officers were serious they held real guns now and were ready to use deadly force on Alex . When Alex got close enough they opened fire, Alex calmly hid behind the front desk . Before Alex got behind the front desk he was able to determine the positions of all the officers . Alex started calculating under the torrent of bullets . Alex reloaded first, then he aimed his handgun at the wall . BANG!, BANG!, BANG!, BANG!, BANG!, BANG!, BANG!, BANG!, BANG!, BANG!, BANG!, BANG! Alex shot at the wall and the rubber bullets ricocheted off the wall . After hearing all of his bullets hit their targets Alex calmly stood up and walked out of the front door . All the police officer in the police station that were present had all been subdued ." I mean like this is even more crazy than your usual Wuxia novels 😂. Then, after this happens, we get a scene of our main female lead getting Stockholm syndrome for the MC. Like hello? I don't know how anyone got past 10 chapters of this; it's like a fever dream of a 12-year-old.

This novel is a real gem 💎. In this dystopian modern world, countries war with none mass destruction weapons. The protagonist Alex has grown up on the battlefield to be an S rank mercenary. Due to his father’s injury Alex retires with him to civilian life. The story revolves around Alex’s climatization to high school life and the drama 🎭 of being a teenager. That “drama” includes plenty of combat and action in and out of school, for Alex and the “Mercenary Club” they form.
Okay, like when I saw the cover I expected some fight and that stuff, however it looks like to be something like romeo and Juliet, currently on chapter 4 but I recommend to the newcomers, until now I just love it, wish nothing but the best for the author.

I had always a desire to read a soldier based book. And it got fulfilled by reading this best story. Really the plot, characters & writing quality is great.

This story is quite good and the characters in the story are well fleshed-out and created. The background of the warring countries is very detailed and the power level system is constructed properly. The mercenaries concept is awesome and the best character in my opinion is Lyner, the SS-rank mercenary, as he has a really cool character design and abilities. Towards the end of the story, where everyone awakens supernatural abilities and the world becomes a literal fantasy trope; I don't like it because it just inserts some illogical magical fantasy (swords & magic) component formed by some scientific bioweapon, and ends the story after some annoying 10-year timeskip. They should have just ended it with defeating the final bosses and disarming the nukes instead of what happened. Also, I think Lyner could have still become one of the strongest even if he did not have a magical organ. Lyner grows with every fight he encounters and is literally godblessed with talent. Also, Dan Regius's final state was never shown, whether he survived or died.

Great storyline. I love the romance between the couples. There are a lot of funny scenes and i cannot deny my delight to tell it. I fully recommend for the new readers to check this out.

This is one of the novels where every chapter is fun to read i never skipped a paragraph. Basically i think this is a very fun to read novel. Character development is clear to see not rushed but its there, author gives alternate ending where we can have the ending we want and ending we don't want but we will know what will happen if this and that happens like death and so on.. world background is very nice I also like how magic comes into play later on. all in all its 10/10 story for me not rushed not slow paced either i recommend people to read this
One of the top....Top tier characters with lots of funny misunderstanding and many serious moments...as well as super cool mc and his friends, family and last his top killer Dad...You would die in excitement.. I recommend you to just read only 10 chapters max and You decided whether to read further or not. You won't regret!!! The chapters after ch 400 are really weird and don't really fit, overall the story is okay but weird. The story doesn't really distinguish between the various emotional scenes and they don't really fit. 😅 ( I'm not really good with descriptions )

I liked it. Something I stopped reading, then came back to. It is exactly the kind of story you want to read if you are reading the descriptions in the first place. Some things are not really described as to how they are possible, which can be confusing (how did such a large base continue to move underground?). But, the ending is satisfying, and the journey was good as well.

I didn't believe in reading novals until this moment, When I start reading my life changed as a really increased in the MC and how is able to handle the school life.
The story is interesting especially the male lead although he only said one word in chapter 1 "I want to be stronger" like it is normal for someone who see his parents dead and the description lack the suspense since it's a death scene of someone important but overall it's good , weird like the MC but good

This was best novel I read on this App so far Im greatful that the author wrote this book it has been an awesome ride and I personally thank you for writing this awesome book
it's like an anime that I know of. the anime like the synopsis is called "Full Metal Panic Fumoffu". a young soldier guy that have a mission to protect a high schooler,with the soldier grew up in military life and have little understanding of common sense of ordinary people that leads to some comedic scene. i have high expectation of this novel now.
