Chương 3: Who is Thera exactly?
Luna was at lost for words as the sudden revelation that the pull she felt had led her towards a powerful cultivation technique. But as seconds go by her mind found out that something was not quite right.
She looked at the 12 pillars then at the castle with sharp eyes as she gaze at everything before her with a mind thats calculating faster than a super computer trying to find out the missing picture. Thera on the other hand was gazing at her with interest and curiousity, blinking her eyes innocently yet her aura seems old and wise.
" Oh little one, you do know that you look quite constipated when your concentrating like that?" Thera says jokingly as her eyes glinted with amusement.
" Please do not criticize me as I'm trying to figure out what is not quite right in this inheritance. There are 12 pillars and each pillar represents a law of their own while having the actual personifications of the laws standing on top of each pillar, but what I don't get is why is there a castle at center of those pillars and why are you here?" I asked looking quite puzzled as I gaze into her eyes trying to look for answers.
Thera closed her eyes then with a mysterious tone she said " Why don't you guess?" With a hint of a smile in her voice.
Luna is very perplexed at this moment but suddenly something pop-up in her mind '"That bit of information is true but its just a drop in an entire ocean of knowledge in this world. This world is something my creator created for humanity's survival before her very being was pulled towards another multiverse. She is a celestial but different from most celestials because of the uniqueness of her soul and there are only 4 others like her in the entire omniverse . You will find out more about her as you make progress in this world." His demeanor became somewhat soft as he spoke of his creator while his eyes are filled with longing that of a child for his parent.' a memory surfaced on my mind while recalling what Thera's presence felt like. ' Could she be.....'
"Hmm, it seems like you found something little girl would you mind telling me" Thera's voice seems to echo while her aura changed into that of mother teasing her child using simple but confusing logic.
My heart is pounding as my voice almost became mute with my mind's thinking process going in spirals. " Could you be.... this world's creator...?" I feel like my own heart is thumping right beside my ears. budump.....budump.....budump..... Is all I heard when Thera says. "Yes I am, little one."
"...."
"Hahaha.... you shouldn't be so nervous or that surprised child, as I have created quite a few kinds of inheritance hidden within this world that you humans consider a game. So far atleast 10 that had entered the game were compatible with some of the inheritance I placed for the foundation building phase, but only you chose to follow the connection. It's sad that they already finished making their foundations with the rings and stars they have chosen because this kind of inheritance is only accessible in the foundation building phase."
"Is that so..." Thera's voice low while thinking about this discovery. 'After I finish creating my foundation, I will need to tell my family everything I have discovered here. Good thing I told my family to hold off trying to play this game for half a year so I can gather more information to give them higher chances of survival in reality while becoming powerful in the game.' With that thought in mind I began to ask questions about the inheritance to look for clues and boost me and my family's chance of survival.
"Um... could I ask a few questions your ladyship? What does the pillars and the castle each represent. I'm rather curious about this inheritance that I couldn't help but ask." Luna's body feels stiff and nervous of how Thera might react.
"Oh child, you don't need to be so formal. How about calling me Thera or you could also call me anything from big sis to even granny Terry for goodness sake, I'm an old women who can be considered your ancestor even though my age could be compared to a six year old if we were to consider comparing my age to the second youngest member of my race. I'm well over 4 quintillion years old and the matriarch of my race though I'm the youngest of the 5." Thera exasperatedly said seemingly irritated at being formally addressed. 'A tired look can be seen in her eyes, from her age it could guessed that she has gotten tired from all the formal greetings.....'
"Sorry about that Thera, its just a little difficult for most people to do so considering what race you hailed from and power you hold.... and the fact you said your the matriarch of your race even though your the youngest further makes it difficult not to do so." Luna said quietly afraid of angering the highest tier of the celestial race.
Thera sighed as she looked at me in the eyes. " Child, whenever I try blend in with human society of a random universe... some people I come in contact with instinctively act extremely formal and subservient to me even without knowing who or what I am. I hid my aura, changed my appearance and temperament... I even acted like a bubbly teen."
'Hmm... this quite surprizing to consider but maybe it could be the universe or multiverse's doing or maybe it's her views about the world that makes some people act that way.' Luna's mind was multitasking while she's talking to Thera.
"Then... I hope you don't mind me calling you gran-gran miss Thera?" When I asked that miss Thera's face bloomed with a closed-eyed smile that made her face sparkle with a happy glow.
"Of course dearie! You just made my day child, come on lets get inside the castle to talk about this inheritance and you future cultivation. Oh do you like sweets? Because I made some peach-mango cake topped with vanilla ice cream and banana and strawberry layered milkshakes also topped with vanilla ice cream a while ago and both are chilling in my fridge." I could help but be very surprized that such a small question could bring great change in her mood, but soon that surprise turn into understanding after remembering how old this woman was.
I made my way towards the castle while keeping in pace with the happy celestial whose humming a light and upbeat tune as she walks in positive vigor.
Every step we take as we are getting close to the castle, we see more and more details on it's structure showing a great deal of craftsmanship and beauty. The moment we step into the castle comes as a great shock to me... a modern and multi-cultural amalgamation style with perfect balance and beautifully arranged in harmony. Pictures and artwork of many countries, advance technology as well as wonderfully made pieces of furniture work together in sync with good blends of color and texture. Nothing looked out of place at all!
We made our way to a door which turn out to be a door to the kitchen. Unlike the hall we just came in from was an amalgamation of many cultures including modern architecture and advance technology, the kitchen is a combination of rustic european style, modern and futuristic.
"Sorry if the decor seem to chaotic or something like that, I've never been one for sticking to one style... it just seems boring looking at something plain and simple sometimes. And the fact I love to travel amd watch many culture grow ain't helping my case. Truthfully I arrange it because I like would to imagine or get the feeling of how humanity of all cultures would look like being united and working together in harmony. Though truthfully only the hall and a few other room have mixed styles. Other rooms were decorated normally or according to a certain style or taste."
"Um, gran-gran it's not chaotic at all! It exactly feels like what you were trying to portray when you said of how you wanted to feel or imagine the many culture are being united and in sync." I say it quickly and anxiously and thankfully without stuttering. Its a very new feeling to me truthfully, the feeling of anxiety of this level. I hardly get anxious, there are very few time in my life where I feel anxiety. It feels as though I don't want her mood to go down again.
"Thank you, well lets get started on talking about the inheritance shall we? There is quite a lot of things that needed to be explained. The first is the castle and me, the laws needed a way to co-exist that's what me and the castle represent which is balance. The law of balance is very important to prevent other laws especially those of opposite nature from clashing with each other, there exist a fine line between laws that's both delicate and strong. Balance exist to let the other laws mingle while not causing harm remember that little one and also make sure that all the cultivated laws are equal in ratio to prevent laws from overwhelming the weaker ones. Now lets talk of the first six laws which are light, darkness, life, death, creation and destruction, these six are the more conceptual laws with polar opposites that can't exist without the other. Light and darkness these two laws are usually associated with the concepts of good and evil, but some people have the wrong mindset or understanding when it comes to this. Light and Darkness can both be used for good and there are some who use both for evil, it all depends on the word 'how' do you get what I'm saying?" She looks at me right in the eyes as she says that. The entire time as she spoke about the inheritance especially about the law of balance, she somehow creates multiple auras base on the laws she spoke and those who feels the aura would instinctively go into a certain state of mind and perceive the said laws within those different kinds of aura. Just who are you Thera?
