Chương 26: Advancing to Level 4
It was night. The pale azures of the wolves' eyes were as sharp as daggers under the moonlight. Like fluorescent specks of light, they gleamed like ice in the dark forest, striking and terrifying.
Alvin's figure danced between 4 wolves, as graceful as a gazelle. All kinds of evading motions were performed by Alvin. A hyena in front of him sent its razor claws tearing towards Alvin but he sidestepped its claws. He felt a cold feeling burn on his back as he quickly ducked causing the claws of a hyena streaked overhead. Alvin immediately took the opportunity and swung his sword at the hyena's head.

The hyena's head was sent flying!

With Alvin's current strength, four hyenas weren't his match at all. After the Intermediate stage of the [Basic Sword Arts] reached completion, his attack power also movement speed also reached an all-time high. He now even had confidence in fighting with Level 6 beasts and come out unscathed!
But this progress speed was still too slow for him. After he learnt of the strength levels of Enhancers, his urgency to strengthen had also increased considerably since even the weakest Level 1 Enhancers have a minimum of 500 kg strength. Alvin immediately felt the rush of strength throughout his body brought by his Level up. Without even waiting for the strengthening process to end, Alvin immediately assigned 1 point to strength, 2 point to Agility and 1 point to Vitality!
Even though he was previously running out of stamina, this level up and strengthening had allowed him to restore more than half of it. Now that he had leveled up, he had an easier time fighting these hyenas!
Alvin trained his dodging while gaining the experience from killing the remaining monsters. Whether it was his experience for leveling or his experience with fighting against crowds, they were both increasing. Cut, hack, slash, Alvin did not know how many times he swung his dagger, nor how much time he spent, but eventually, with the help of his newly increased strength and special skill, [Blitz Attack], he killed the five remaining Red-eyed spotted Hyenas.
Alvin's rear dropped to the ground with a 'thud' as he collapsed with exhaustion, breathing shallowly. He didn't have much stamina left. He had made a mental list of all his inadequacies during his fight with the seven Red-eyed spotted Hyenas and began to sift through the list as he reviewed them for future improvement.
Alvin realised with a start, that the forest was unusually silent. His gaze rose and fell onto the colossal silhouette of a beast. It was the Red-eyed spotted Hyena king that was loitering around!
The hyena, by inherent nature, was cunning. Even in this world, they were inherently so. The Red-eyed spotted Hyena king had initially planned to mount an ambush on Alvin, but had been detected by Alvin. All hesitation evaporated as it bounded towards Alvin, its velocity rapidly increasing. Like a race car, it accelerated from 0 to 100 m/s in a matter of seconds. If this was reality, it would be an instant kill!
Sitting still and waiting for the Red-eyed spotted Hyena king to get to him was suicidal. Alvin drew both his legs to his chest and kicked himself up into a standing position. He darted towards the Red-eyed spotted Hyena king swiftly. An almost human smile formed on the Red-eyed spotted Hyena king's muzzle as it saw the comical sight of Alvin meeting it head on. Its smile quickly vanished in the next instant.
Alvin was not foolish enough to collide head on with this beast. With the small frame of his, slight contact would send him flying. Alvin leaped into the air. With his agility, he would be able to jump a maximum of 3 yards high and 5 yards in length. Alvin sailed through the air like a basketball in motion, drawing a graceful parabola as he landed on the Red-eyed spotted Hyena king's back.
Head of copper, tail of iron, but a back of tofu. For quadruped monsters, their weakness was the back! Alvin landed lightly on the Red-eyed spotted Hyena king's back. He plunged his sword into the back of the Red-eyed spotted Hyena king's neck.
"Pu!"
The sword went straight into the Red-Eyed spotted Hyena King's neck. The hyena king roared painfully. Its roar shook the night. The beast had already begun to break its initial charge. Alvin immediately pulled out his sword and jumped off the beast's back.
"Bang!"
It immediately crashed into a nearby tree. This injury dealt to its weak point was actually fatal. The Red-eyed spotted Hyena king tried to stand up again and fight and its legs wobbled causing it to crash down again! After struggling for a few more seconds, the beast finally died.

Alvin slumped on the floor again! He was now dead tired. If he didn't use this particular strategy to kill this beast, he would have been in trouble today.
