Late that night, Emperor Yang Long slowly opened his eyes. He stared at the empty ceiling in front of him like he was in a daze.
…I'm not dead yet?
"You're up." A familiar voice spoke beside him.
The Emperor turned to look at the owner of the voice.
"Grandmaster Rui?" Emperor Yang Long's voice was hoarse after he was knocked out for a whole day.
Grandmaster Rui, who was sitting beside his bed, smiled, "It's good to see you wake up."
The Emperor took a long sigh, "I've messed up."
"Hm, I can see that." Grandmaster Rui agreed but didn't say anything else about how the Emperor had messed up.
Emperor Yang Long scoffed at himself before getting up on the bed.
"Bixia, I'm leaving tonight, but I wanted to give you this word of advice before I leave."
Grandmaster Rui's words caught the Emperor by surprise, "You're leaving?"
"Hm, it's not safe for everyone if I'm still here." Grandmaster Rui explained.
