She asked with a sniffle, "Are you alright?"

He lowered his head and kissed her on the forehead. "What could happen to me? Haven't I already told you not to worry? I'm just there to help them with the investigation."

She leaned her head against his chest and listened to his steady breathing before finally calming down.
