X'al, Goddess of Fortune AND Phoerow, God of Death
Part 1
............
She was a small and heavily ill-fortune human who was one of the rare females to pray at his temple.
She treated him as a just god, despite stories of his cruelty.
It was one day when she replaced the offering with fresh pomegranates when it had happened- she had the bad luck to be accused as a witch.
With an ailing mother and no father, she had no choice but to be burned at the stake.
Heartbroken, Phoerow turned to the one goddess he should never had trusted: X'al, Goddess of Fortune.
With a sly tongue and an even slyer mind, X'al promised to help the desperate god on one condition- a single favor.
He did not question anything before he grabbed her outstretched hand, sealing his doomed fate.
Not only had he lost his love, but a part of his existence as well.
When Gods promise Gods other favors, the favor is automatically advantageous to the god doing the favor. It was like a lottery, and the losing side never knows how much is lost.
