Chương 35: Juno

A calming sound of the piano enveloped the silent mansion, where three people lived. A woman wearing a white dress sat in front of the grand white piano which stood majestically in the middle of the big hall. Her eyes were kept close as she hummed along the lyrics of the song. Suddenly her slender white fingers stopped its track.

Her lashes fluttered open as a beautiful pair of eyes were shown. Staring at the empty space beyond her, a bitter smile found its way to her lips as she dryly laughed.

In someone else's view, the woman looks like she was going crazy, but to the people who knew her condition would only say it was normal.

Then an old maid servant entered the room and informed the woman of someone's arrival. Her eyes wavering and she quickly gathered herself and ran up to the receivings area.

"Father, you're back!" her voice glinted with joy but her eyes stayed emotionless, it was plainly empty that you will think of it as a black hole, who held nothing.

"En, did you finish your tasks Cyllene? You shouldn't slack off with your studies.'' The man smiled warmly but his eyes showed his greed, contempt and insanity. It has been years since he watched how they suffer, unknowingly doting on the daughter they believed was theirs to begin with.

He smirked as he stared at the young woman, pity how they missed her when she was just under their noses. It will be just a matter of time after they realize things and a matter of time till everything will be back to where it belongs to, and that is with him.

The power, fame, wealth and the empire will be his, soon. And it will be with the help of this little chess piece he controls.

"Father" a cold glint passed through him as he was clouded by disgust. 'I am not your father's child, I am your uncle. How braze was my stupid brother to think I will give in. Stupid Blood' he scoffed as he showed his displeasure and waved the woman off, telling her to go back to her quarters.

Walking towards his car, an evil smile erupted from his lips.

"Vengeance isn't far ahead Juno, and I thank your child for being that easy to manipulate"
