"I want the Great Biomes."
The words rang in the throne room.
The King and Second Prince were surprised, The Third Prince smiled in relief, and The Fourth Prince sneered. Alexander's mom, Annabeth, only stared at him curiously trying to understand his train of thought.
The Great Biomes was a very large province at the edge of the Kingdom connected to the ocean. The province was separated into Seven Great Biomes, one before the other. The Forest Biome came First, The Flames Biome Second, The Frost Biome Third, The Desolate Biome Fourth, The Thunder Biome Fifth, The Ocean Biome Sixth, and The Sky Biome Seventh. Each biome was filled with different tribes and powerful beasts that roamed the lands.
Many powerful ancient kings tried and failed to tame The Great Biomes province. The farthest anyone ever reached was the Desolate Biome, but it wouldn't be long before they fell back in retreat. Eventually, The Ancient Kings gave up and left a message for their future heir, "The Great Biomes is unconquerable."
"Good. The Great Biomes from here on is your Property, I shall send the Deed to your palace." The king nodded approvingly at Alexander's statement.
Annabeth And The Princes looked At The King In Surprise, Not Understanding Why He Would Still Be Happy After Alexander Made Such A Horrible Choice.
Noticing everyone's eyes, The king said proudly, "A son of mine should naturally have confidence!"
The eyes on him understood and looked back at Alexander silently.
"Now that we have that settled, I have also summoned you all here to announce something. The Official battle for the throne will begin in two years. You all prepare for it."
The princes glanced at each other and all responded, "Yes, Father."
"Oh, and one more thing," The King looked at Annabeth with a doting look and smiled, "There is only one rule during this battle for the throne, NO MATTER WHAT, you cannot take each other's lives! The Rain Family legacy must go on. Don't Forget, We Are Family!"
Annabeth seemed to visibly brighten up once she heard these words and nodded her head vigorously, "Yeah, you guys better not forget your familial ties or you'll have to deal with your father and me, hmph." She looked at each of them as if they were the most precious thing in the world.
The four princes glanced at each other again and smiled helplessly. This was their Mother showering them with love.
"Yes, Mother," They all replied with care.
The King nodded and waved his hands, "You are dismissed."
...
Walking towards his palace, Alexander slowly thought about all that happened in the throne room and his next step. The others might have thought the reason he chose the great biomes province was that he was confident, he was, but it was mostly because he needed to lie low right now. If he had chosen a powerful province that would have given him a great chance for the throne, his brothers would have focused on him and taken him out which would be very annoying and a great pain.
He would rather take the great biomes and have them think that he was confident with no ability. This would let him secretly build a power that would help him take the throne in one shot. With the system by his side, Alexander doesn't believe he won't be able to tame the great biomes.
Arriving at his palace, the first thing he saw was Jeffrey waiting for him by the gate.
"Greetings, your Highness."
"Jeffrey, It's good that you're here."
Jeffrey smiled, "You're Highness, His Majesty just released a royal decree stating the great biomes province has been awarded to you, and he sent a eunuch to bring over the deed."
He pulled out a golden decree with the words GREAT BIOMES written on it. Alexander took and examined it, "Oh, that fast?"
Alexander looked at Jeffrey, and pondered before asking, "Jeffrey, Where can we get some servants from?"
Jeffrey thought before answering, "Your Highness, the best way to get some good servants is to look at the slave market."
"The slave market." Alex frowned as he heard Jeffrey.
Seeing the frown on Alex's Face, Jeffrey quickly explained, "Your Highness, the slave market works under kingdom law, it takes the orphans of the kingdom and surrounding kingdoms that have nowhere to go. They are also protected under kingdom law, so nothing inhuman can happen to them while under slavery or the owners will face grave punishments according to the act they've done."
Alex still felt uneasy about the fact that slavery was a thing in this world, but he badly needed servants and workers and, if possible, he had to look for Nine Disciples.
"Alright, Come get me tomorrow, We will go to the Slave Market to get some servants, I have to train tonight."
"Yes, Your Highness," Jeffrey was glad Alex would get some servants tomorrow, but he was even more excited that Alex was turning into a training maniac, "He has truly grown."
Alex returned to his room and opened the system going to the Auxilary Technique Interface. He scrolled for a while before finding what he was looking for.
THREE SEALS EYE TECHNIQUE!
This was a Transcendent eye technique that allowed cultivators to see through the secrets of the world. Alex made up his mind and used an auxiliary ticket to exchange for it.
A bamboo slip appeared in Alex's hand and he put it against his brow. Information flowed into Alex's mind in a steady flow. The Three Seals Technique appeared in Alex's mind, and he was shocked, "Who exactly is my ancestor?"
The Three seals of technique were incredibly powerful.
First Seal- Natural Sight, See through the Mortal and The Enigmatic.
Second Seal- Heaven and Earth, Seeing through Heaven and Earth, Who can block my sight?
Third Seal- Boundless, No Description.
Alex thought, " Almost all the techniques in this inheritance surpass this world, How powerful was my ancestor?"
Alex sat in a relaxed position and started to comprehend the first seal, the second and third seals were way beyond his level.
As time passed, Alex fully comprehended and started to cultivate the Fist Seal. Natural Energy slowly entered his closed eyes endlessly.
Time slowly passed.
KNOCK. KNOCK.
"Your Highness, It is time to go to the slave market."
Alex opened his eyes, his eyes had become incredibly refined. If someone were to look into his eyes, they would see all the colors in the world, truly mystical.
"Okay," Alex walked out and Jeffrey was shocked, "Your Highness, Your Eyes!"
"Uhm," Alex looked at Jeffrey and understood, "Just a technique from the ancestor."
Jeffrey nodded absentmindedly and walked behind Alex.
Arriving at the Slave Market, Alex was stunned inwardly. It was Huge. There were countless people around, and even more people being actioned on different individual stages. Alex followed Jeffrey to a large building in the center of the square, looking at the plaque in front it, it read "Central Slave Market."
Walking in, Alex thought he was walking into a wealthy noble's house, Gold and Jewels were used as decoration all around. Jeffrey walked to the reception and said quietly, "His Highness Alexander is here to do business."
The receptionist was confused as she looked toward Alex before getting flustered looking at his eyes.
"I shall get the manager," She said quickly before running up the stairs.
"What am I? A monster?" Alex thought to himself and chuckled.
Alex and Jeffrey waited a few moments before a chubby man came running down the stairs with the flustered receptionist following behind. When he arrived, the chubby man immediately bowed and said respectfully, "Greetings, Your Highness."
Alex nodded and only said, "I'm here to do business."
The chubby man immediately answered, "Yes, of course, Your Highness, please follow me upstairs."
They followed the man into a luxurious room with two couches. Alex and Jeffrey sat on one side and the chubby man sat on the other facing them. The flustered receptionist stood behind the chubby man and kept sneaking glances at Alex's eyes, seemingly mesmerized.
"Your Highness is truly a great genius," the chubby man immediately praised Alex as soon as they sat down.
"I am Bastien Hall, The manager of the Slave Market. Would Your Highness like some tea? We serve some of the best tea in the capital guaranteed."
Hall looked at the receptionist behind him and waved his hands about, "Go and get us some Tea!" The receptionist nodded bitterly and rushed out of the room.
Alex said, "I'm here to look for some servants."
"Yes, Yes, what are you looking for, your highness, I'm sure we can satisfy all your needs," Hall said proudly.
Alex looked at the chubby man, he had dark hair and calculative eyes that were hidden behind his tiny rolls of fat.
"Do you have anyone with cultivation potential?"
"Yes, of course, your highness," Hall replied. As the receptionist came back in the room with the tea, Hall motioned his hands at the receptionist, "Bring all potential cultivators to Square A."
The receptionist once again quickly left the room to fulfill his order. Surprisingly, the man was greedily looking at her butt while she left the room.
Alex saw this and pondered silently before sneering. The receptionist was indeed a good looking girl, in fact, she was hot as fuck. Of course, Alex was used to seeing females on her level and above back on Earth with his fame and Wealth.
Hall was probably trying to get with her and couldn't, so he went about ordering her around to show her his power. Anyways, It wasn't his business so he wouldn't mess with it, it was her fate if she managed to get away from him or fell into his claws.
"Is that all you'll be looking at today, your highness?" Hall asked.
Alex looked at Hall, "For now," he responded slowly and took a sip of his tea.
The receptionist came back and reported that the potential cultivators were rounded up. Hall immediately led them to Square A.
A number of people ranging from 13 to 22 years old were standing straight in rows on a large square stage. They all looked curiously towards the group as they followed manager Hall.
"Listen up, This is his royal highness Alexander," Hall said loudly, "That's right, he's here to look for some helpers and you all are incredibly lucky if he chooses you."
Alex glanced at Hall and couldn't help but praise him, he really was good at praising people. Looking at the people on the stage, Alex activated the First Seal and his eyes exploded with color.
Looking at the people again, he could see an entirely different world, all these people had auras around them. This was something most people couldn't see unless you cultivated a special technique.
Most of them had a white aura, which Alex concluded was normal, while a few of them had different colored auras. He rotated his soul core and spread his soul energy around the stage and started to feel for the more powerful auras. Alex started pointing to those with unique auras seemingly randomly. All those he pointed at would walk down to stand next to him.
One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight.
Eight people we picked just like that, Alex frowned as nobody else on the square was able to satisfy him. He looked around the area one more time and this time was surprised. The receptionist. She had a pretty good aura on her compared to most of the people here.
Alex looked at Hall, "That'll be all for now."
Hall looked at these eight that Alex chose and wondered if there was anything special about these people even though the prince seemed to choose randomly. After looking over them and coming up with nothing, he led the group back to the lounge.
"Can you give me some privacy with them?" Alex said to Hall as soon as they arrived in the room.
Alex is the nickname. Will only use Alexander if they are saying his official Title or something, or if its a stranger talking to him.
