She tried to fight the tears threatening to fall from her eyes with Rion looking at her back as she dragged him out from their home. It was pointless to argue with her brother. She knew Lawrence wouldn't make it easy for her and Rion to get married. His brother's failed marriage might be one of the reasons why Lawrence was giving them a hard time.
Sara stopped on her tracks as she felt Rion's grip tightened on her hand. She turned around to face him and noticed the confusion written on his face. His eyes were asking her the silent questions.
"I'm sorry." Her lips trembled, and her eyes stung as she tried not to cry in front of him. "I shouldn't have brought you here with me."
"Tell me what happened? What is this about an agreement you were talking about?" Rion held Sara's chin so she couldn't avoid his eyes.
