Two hours later, Annika put down her spoon onto her plate and looked at Ririna who was seated across her.
"I'm sorry for the late call."
"I understand." Ririna picked up her cup of tea and took a small sip from it. She wasn't very hungry and just had a light meal for lunch. The minute she sat down, Annika grew very nervous. Ririna was very hopeful that Annika would not change her mind. Something must have happened that made Annika seek her help.
"Ohh," Annika hesitated. "Well, I think I don't have a choice but to trust you with my career."
"Want to tell me what happened?" Ririna asked.
Annika looked away as if she was ashamed of something she did and would have to confess about it.
"Cindy is starting to spread rumors about Mika. I don't know what to do with it. My previous manager abandoned me, and I don't think I have a chance to make a comeback on my own," she said, her mouth tightened.
"How bad was it? Did she get any evidence to confirm her claims about your daughter?"
