Chương 5: Ugh My Head
Shatter POV:
Why is my light on? Did I fall asleep without turning it off? Ugh, I can't fall back asleep unless I turn it off. I open my eyes to see the sun. Wait? Sun? I sit up and immediately regret it because my head feels like someone hit me with a brick. Looking around, I see Dabi and Shigaraki talking quietly not far from me. They must've heard me groan while moving because they looked at me.
"Do you have any idea where we are by any chance? We looked around and nothing looked familiar." Dabi asked after I stop holding my head.
"Or at least your phone?" Shigaraki followed up.
I felt around my usual pockets, only to discover that I'm in Dabi's clothes? With no phone, watch, weapons, or snacks. After thinking for a second, my hands shoot up to my face. At least I have my mask on. And my hood? That's good.
"Sorry guys, no luck. Why are we all dressed in Dabi's clothes, on a roof, with no phones?" my robotic voice asks back. We all wince at the volume of it. I lower it a lot before speaking again. "Why do I have my mask on? I mean it's a good thing, but why would we need it?"
"Last I remember, we were in the bar starting our game. We probably left at some point during it." Dabi thought.
"Shatter." I look over at Shigaraki. "Take off your shit and go find out where we are. We need to get home as soon as possible because we're very easy to recognise. Try to find someone who'll let you borrow their phone to call Giri. Pull that scared lost kid shit you like to do." he finished. I took off my mask, pulled my hood down, and Dabi's jacket and shoes, before handing them to him.
"Be right back guys." I say before climbing down the fire escape. I make it to the bottom and find myself in an alleyway. Going in the direction all the noise was coming from, I found myself on a busy street. Perfect. I go back a ways, put on a scared face, and run out. Directly into some lady.
"Please help me miss! Can I please borrow your phone or something? I need to get home as fast as possible! These guys tried to grab me last night and pulled me into the alley! One of them had scars all over his face! I just need to call my mom so she can come get me! Please?" I 'plead'. After a second of processing, she pulls me away from where we were, and into a store. Shit.
"The League was spotted in the area last night." She took me to a TV showing the news, and pointed to Dabi. "Was this the man?" I nod and act scared. "Oh you poor thing! Here's my phone. Are you hungry? I can get you some snacks or something?" she asked, already going to the snack aisle.
While she couldn't see me, I went into the GPS, copied the location of a few streets over, and sent it to Giri. After deleting the messages, I pretended I was on the phone with my mom. "Yeah, I know the store. I can get there soon! Thank you so much! Love you!" I 'hung up' and handed the lady her phone. "Thank you so much, miss! My mom recognized a store a few streets over that her friend works at. She told me to go there while she takes her break early." She fusses for a few moments while handing me the snacks she bought. She apologized that she couldn't walk me there because she had to get back to work from lunch. After I waved her off, I walked back into the alley I came from. I managed to figure out which building we were on earlier, and climbed back up.
"Took you long enough." Dabi bitched while laying down.
"Sorry. This lady fussed over me for a bit after she let me use her phone while buying me snacks." I held up the bag. They both perked up, and we went through it and ate. "We're all over the news. It's a little after 1pm, I texted Giri a location a few streets over for 1:30. It'll take about five to get there from here. We're about two towns over. After wiping the texts, I acted like my mom was telling me where to go." I explained before drinking some water.
"Ok...So...Who won?" Dabi asked while looking between me and Shiggy.
"Well, we all know I can stand up, walk, climb, run, and act. So either you beat that, or I won." I reply smugly. They tried to stand up and made it. They managed to run around the top of the building, but failed when it came to climbing. "HELL YES!!" I cheered before we all winced.
"Everyone turn your pockets out one more time. My clothes have hidden ones on the inside, seams, and bottom." Dabi instructed. We found some gum, which we all ate to get rid of the aftertaste, a few random things, the napkin map, cigarettes, and my pen and papers? We looked at the papers and saw Eraserhead's autograph.
Shiggy groaned. "Did we really track down a hero during our game?"
"I think so? How are we still free?" Dabi questioned.
"I made it so he can't catch me for a month the other day. He was probably helping the people I'm assuming tried, but he can't do anything." I reveal. They look at me like I grew a third head. "What? You guys do remember that I can make people do whatever I want just by asking a question, right?" They look lost. I sigh while standing up, and putting everything back on. "We need to get going now. Mamagiri's gonna be mad if we aren't there when he opens a portal."
We all made our way to the spot I asked for, and waited for a minute or two. The portal opens in the middle of the street. This MOTHERFUCKER! The street instantly went into chaos. People were screaming, running, yelling for help, and a hero was conveniently on patrol right then.
"Dabi! Runway!" Shigaraki yelled over everything. After nodding, the walking failed quilt used both hands to make two lines of fire going to the opening. This, of course, made everyone more scared. The fact that the fire came from the alley meant we were already outside of it. We calmly walked through the makeshift road through the portal before it closed right behind us. We all grumbled and flopped on the couch.
"That was a mean move Giri!!" I whined from my spot.
"I apologize, young one. Toga gave me the idea because she thought it would be funny. You three were all over the news last night, and now this morning. You were all doing fine until you 'yelled out for Dabi'. The reports said they saw some people running and thought nothing of it until they heard his name, followed by your names. Before anyone could do anything there was a wall of fire. Dabi, you ran through it and asked for directions? Then you destroyed things and disappeared. This morning a lady reported that a teenager ran into her while panicking, and said he was grabbed by Dabi. Then you were all reported again when you left." He explained while cleaning a wine glass.
"Whatever, thanks for helping us. I'm going to bed." Crusty stated before walking to his room. Dabi and I followed shortly after and we all passed out in our beds.
Around 8pm, someone shook me awake. Opening my eyes, I see the gentle ones of Giri. "You have work tonight at 10, remember? You need some food before then. Go shower while I make some." He demanded in a way that seemed like a suggestion. I see right through that mist man! I nod and make my way to the bathroom. After a shower that was actually a concert, I walked back into my room to see my clothes and supplies neatly set on my dresser. Usually no one touches my stuff? Must've been Kuro trying to get the blood out and stitching up the spot I was hurt at. I make a mental note to thank him before I leave. After getting ready, I see a note under the backpack? It's a copy of the list I made so I can keep track of my things, with each thing checked off...awe!!! I love him so much!!
After rechecking everything was in place, I make my way out to the main area. I saw my plate and cup set out for me with food and coffee! There's also another cup with water by everything, and some painkillers. I look around and see him by the sink. Without thinking, I ran over to him and threw my arms around him.
"Thanks for everything Mamagiri!!!" I cheered. He just looked over and patted my back in a loving manner. I sat down and ate everything before checking over my stuff, and what I need to do tonight.
*10pm*
"Bye guys! See you in a few days!" I yell walking out the door. Putting in the spot I need on my GPS, I hop on my motorcycle and take off. Driving through the streets silently is always amazing! I'm soooo happy I found that guy who can silence things!! Even my pants are silent!! I think while speeding away.
