Perseus POV
"Are you ready?"
"Not really." Lia replied as she took deep breaths.
We are no hiding in the bushes near the main entrance of the warehouse, I'll help her of course, but this is also a test for her where I can only be the supporting cast, if she wants to join in the clan, she needs to be mentally ready.
Brooke has mentioned that both his children are talented in both close combat and magic, Struan, genius in both, but specialize in close combat while Lia is a genius in magic, though both can't be compared to my sister and me.
She has the talent to walk alongside me to climb up the tower, that's for sure, but unlike her brother who is definitely mentally prepared despite not choosing to work as a raider, she is not.
I will use magic to create elemental golems and take down a good portion of the thieves while I'll try to aggro and and tank, I got out a dark grey kite shield for that.
The is the weakest person in there, but the reason he's a boss is because he's the mental test, I had to do a similar thing and everyone has, I know a lot about this tower and yet I still don't know what lies as the prize for climbing to the top.
"So I'll use magic to eliminate a good portion of the criminals and...kill the child who's the boss that the tower is using as a test to see if I'm mentally ready to climb the tower." she said
"Yeah, you're just repeating it at this point."
"Alright, I need to clear my mind before then, do me a favor."
"Okay, what do you want me to do?"
She then took a deep breath.
"...kiss me." she requested
"Yeah, I can give you one afterwards, but not now."
"I need to clear my mind, so do it and make it a bit long."
I don't think that that is the most effective way in the world but it's not like I can't do it, I'm not like one of those shy protagonists. And so I placed down my shield, pulled her face towards me and kissed her.

3rd person view.
The NPCs, the boss is having a friendly spar with a fellow thief as everyone else is having a drink, having fun with each other shouting about the spar as the 2 fight with wooden sticks.
They encouraging each other and shouting moves for the fighters
"Kid, beat him up, how are you going to get enough money to help that sister of yours if you're going to keep being a deadbeat." NPC#1 heckled
"She's already already being taken care of as she's been properly adopted. I'm just trying to give her more money so she can go to Jusia Academy." the young thief replied
"By robbing and killing?" his opponent laughed "She will be disappointed."
"I don't care, I give her money, so she better appreciate it, her new parents are shit knights always going about laws and shit when their kind were the one that killed my parents in the first place." the young thief grunted
At that moment, the large entrance of the warehouse got blown open. The doors burst and crush a few criminals in the process.
"Daddy's home!" Perseus shouted "Sorry kids, I didn't limit my power enough cuz that door seemed to have killed 4 of ya."
The criminals didn't get a chance to react as elemental golems appeared out of nowhere to cut them down.
<Aqua Lance.> Cordelia casted as after a few seconds, lances made from water fall from the sky and dropped to kill about a dozen of the criminals.
<He really is simulating an actual dungeon raid.> she thought <He's aggroing and tanking damages as tankers while the golems act as close combat specialist, fellow tanks, supporting mages and fellow offensive mages, the speed that they're being cut down is normal as well when he can just instantly finish it. Thoughtful.>

Cordelia POV
Perseus left the boss for me like he said he would, and I don't blame him for it, this is the tower's test, the test that the clan requires me to do, this is a test.
Perseus asked me to be his partner, so it's his test too, my goal to come into the tower in the first place is like any other, it's to climb to the top, some say the top grant you a wish, and some treasure, but...none of that matter, my wish is to climb the tower, and my treasure...well I need to spend a bit more time with him first to see if that's true.
'113/113. 0/1 boss.'
"Were you hired by the knights?! You're no better than us, you're killers!" the boss screamed
I can see why he's the boss, throughout the battle as they were losing, he was guilt tripping us the whole time. He screamed about the injustice he had to face and the lack of actions that was brought against him.
"My parents were killed by you knights!" he cried "And no one helped cuz they were fucking scared! These...these guys may be fucking criminals, but they're way better than you! Killer! Murderous bitch!"
And I summoned a lance of water and shot it through his chest killing him, but his glare stayed with me as he glared at me even as he laid there lifeless. Perseus closed his eyes and came over to me to hug me.
'Dungeon clear. You have 5:00:00 to leave and will automatically teleported out once the timer ends.'
"Do you need some time?" he asked
"Did you cry too?"
"We all did, Lia...we all did. Do you want to go back to the dorm now?"
"Didn't you wanted to stay here a bit?"
"This is your task, if you want rest, you can go back first, I'll just leave my task and go with you."
"No...I'll stay, I want to know what you plan to do."

I cried a lot and Perseus stuck with me throughout the whole process without complaint. After I calmed down, we came back to the market place where we first appeared.
"Why are we back here?" I asked curiously
"Well since you're my partner, I'll lend you in a little secret on how we find rare treasures." he winked
