Perseus POV
"Alright, my turn."
I then shot a good old fashion lightning bolt and aimed it at them, but instead of taking it, it seems they all conjured up a mana barrier in order to block the attack.
"Maybe they only block shots that kill them." Alice guessed "Your spell maybe weak by our regular standards, and by that I mean, our standards, but it could have killed them. They either only block magic or attacks that could have ended their lives, as for the jade in the middle, it's obvious that they're using it for something."
"Well I can always wait to see what they will do, I can sense that everyone got past within a safe distance."
But as we then discuss about something to do, all of them took out this knife and aimed it at their necks and brought it down. But what strange is as the time went on, their life forces went past the brink...they died.
You shouldn't be able to die unless you find a way to surpass the tutorial floors' healing at the brink of death, so to kill you would have to bury them alive, drown them in water or melt them in a lava pool or something where the damages are faster than what's healing you. Or simply, a natural death like old age.
But if you do manage to kill someone whether directly or indirectly, if it's intentional, the tower will punish you, ranging from the most deadly and painful of diseases or death. That's why no one can kill in the tutorial floor, and there are loop holes, like a particular way you want to, let's say bury someone, or simply find a way for them to slowly die over a super long period of time, like at least a month or something, long explanation.
But...to think that these guys died from a stab to the neck, that shouldn't be possible, the other rankers look at the scene with astonishment as the ground in now soaked with a think pool of blood that is now slowly being absorbed by the large crystal, I don't like where this is going, so I jumped in, but what's next surprised me even more.
The red jade accessories that were on their clothing glowed brightly as their corpse started to dissipating into red dust and a red see through ghost that looked like their previous selves appeared in their place wearing their armor.
I used magic to create a sword of light and I threw out a horizontal slash which the sword extended several dozens meters as the cut went on to most of them in half, but it then hit the biggest crystal and stopped in its track.
The supposed dead ones then sword of had their bodies reattached and got up again to fight like some sort of undead army. I let my sword spell go and then use magic to create a large array that took up the whole center area of the colosseum and a pillar of light erupted upwards to the sky.
Once the spell ended, all of their armor got erased and everything, but the big piece of jade or the jade part of their accessories are left behind. Unlike the biggest piece, the rest seemed to have cracked.
Why did they defend against the bullet if it can take a blast of that level?
But then the blood all of a sudden started to float up drop by drop and flew towards the center and it glowed brightly and send out these tendrils of light that goes to those small jade and fix them up and the ghost started to reanimate again.
The other rankers jumped down to the arena and got their weapons ready at their side.
"We still got our physical strength left, so we'll help you for a bit." Arlon said "This whole thing is weird, is the Mirage legion behind this?"
"How would I know? Do I look like Rex or Ezio to you? We can ask them at the meeting if we get out of this. But let's destroy the small crystals first, I hate seeing the faces of these wannabe terrorists and I also don't want em distracting us as we figure out the big one."

3rd person view
The person behind all this is grinning through the spectacle that he is seeing. His glowing green jade eyes and white teeth are the only thing that can be seen in his own dark private room where he cannot be disturbed by his servants.
"Come on, frauds, one of you better come down." he laughed "I know the boy is strong and can handle this, but I'm sure your curiosity is taking over, I just need one of you to come down in order to send my message. You need to act as my warning, I will take you all down, I already got Zeus on his path of destruction, I will get the rest of you too whether this fail or not."
A logical person wouldn't have warned his opponent and strike them when they couldn't expect it, but this person is prideful and plans to do something with the gods, one is on a path of no return, and he plans on making the others do the same.
No one knows the reason why, but he do not have a good relation with the gods, and based on the speech, he has access to the realms of the true gods, is he one of them? Or is he a celestial being working for them similar to the admins? We do not truly know.
"Perseus, Perseus, Perseus..." he kept mumbling the name all over "Your deep hatred and resentment, I can feel all of it even from here, and Diana Silver, hahaha, it's even worse, it's as if I'm staring at a deep abyss, the want for recognition, the need of love your parents never gave, the need to prove them wrong...if I use it well, you 2 might just be the tools I need."
