Chương 5: The familiar Stranger
Anne came out of the Caa building. She didn't directly take a taxi to home, but instead went to a nearby coffee shop to have some snacks and coffee. This was the only method she could think of improving her mood.
Although she said to Richard that she was not sad anymore, but it was obviously a lie. Richard may not understand why she was so upset, after all, it was just a small budget literary film. There are hundreds of such films made every year, so there's no need to be so much sad about one of them. But she knows, its not just a simple literary film, but a movie that earned more than many commercial movies and was famous even decades later.
There were not many people inside the shop. Anne sat in a secluded and order a cup of coffee, and some cake and biscuits. After ordering, she began to think of her problems.
After a while, she felt someone standing beside her. It must be waiter who came with the order. But when she looked above, it was not the waiter but another familiar face.
Gerard went out to have breakfast. Just as he was on his way back to his apartment, he found a familiar figure entering a coffee shop. Although she was wearing a mask, but he immediately identified the girl, Anne Davis, the one he has been looking for a month. He followed the girl into the coffee shop, as he needed to make many things clear.
After the incident from last month, he tried to search about the girl, and it was not a very difficult job as he found her mant movie posters on the road side. But when he found out about her. it was not a very good experience. Only he knows what he felt after learning that the girl he slept with, Anne Davis, a famous child actor, might be a minor.
Anne looked at the man she saw last month, now standing in front of her.. She was a little surprised, but then greeted: "Hi, it's nice to see you."
Gerard was a little embarrassed. He wasn't expecting such an easy welcome. It seems only he was embarrassed.
Anne looked at the man who was standing still without speaking or moving, does he have anything to say to her. She asked: "Do you wanna sit?"
Gerard accepted the invitation and sat opposite. After not seeing for a month, he felt a lot of changes in the girl. She looks totally different from the movies and posters. Today, she's wearing blue jeans, black crop, black sandals and her hair are set open. Despite trying hard to find, he still couldn't find any kind similarities between the mature and carefree girl in front of him, and the bubbly and cute one in the posters and interviews.
He decided to start with introduction: "I am Gerard Butler, you can call me Gerard."
Hearing the name of the man, Anne finally understood where the familiarity came from. This man is Gerard Butler, the actor who became famous in future for movie "300", and many other famous movies. Although now, he seems to be only a small struggling actor.
Gerard saw the changes in girl's expressions when he said his name, he asked: "Are you familiar with me?"
"No, I just thought as if I had seen you from before."
Gerard nodded. She must've seen him in some of the supporting roles he did.
Anne decided to change the subject: "So what do you want to talk about? It seems like you wanted to say something."
Gerard nodded and asked the question which had been making him uncomfortable for a whole month. "Are you an adult?"
Anne was stunned by the question, but then laughed: "Oh God, so, you wanted to ask this? Why, are you feeling guilty thinking if you slept with a minor." she wanted to tease more, but when she saw the ugly look on man's face, she stopped. "Don't worry, I am not a minor, and it was consented."
Although the girl didn't say her actual age, but he didn't bother to ask. He felt a lot better listening to the answer he wanted. Maybe he was just seeking an excuse to meet again in future.
After his concerns faded, Gerard became a lot more talkative. Both of them talked about many things, and Anne's mood also improved a lot. The negativity she was feeling after the rejection decreased a lot.
After the coffee, both exchanged contact information. Gerard looked at the number in his phone with the name Anne, he felt satisfied.
Anne who saw these actions wanted to tease the man who helped in improving her mood. Suddenly, she seemed to have thought of something. She looked around, there were not many people in the shop and most of them were sitting far away. While the guy was not paying attention, she moved closer and kissed him on the corner of his lips and licked lightly, and immediately returned to her position.
Gerard was stunned by kiss. He looked at the girl, and she was smiling at him trying to suppress her laughter.He was dumbfounded by the fact that he was teased by a young girl.
He wanted to payback by kissing those rosy lips until they were out of breath, but then stopped. This is a public place, and they both are public figures, especially Anne. If anyone saw them like this, it might cause a lot of problems for them.
Seeing that the guy was not responding, Anne lost interest. She felt bored and stood up to leave.
Just as she stood up, her wrist was caught and she was pulled back: "Where are you going?"
"Of course, back to home. My family must be waiting for me."
A surprise look appeared on Gerard's face: "You live with your family?"
Anne smiled and stroked the handsome in front of her: "Yes, I do. Although I will move out soon." she has already told Richard to look for an apartment in a safe and private community.
"You wanna meet again?"
Anne was surprised. She thought this man was just worried about his so called ethics and that's why he came to her for confirmation, but it seems he is intrested in her. This is the second time he asked her this question. The first time was at hotel room a month ago.
"Okay". Saying this much, Anne left, without looking at the happy look on man's face.
