"DAE HYUK!?"
All of a sudden, when both Dae and Yeon were unknowingly lost in each other's deep enthralled gazes standing under the luminous night sky above with an inch of distance persisting between their nose ridges, a sharp sudden summon interrupted their unexplained closeness. Flinched at the voice, Dae quickly turned his neck towards the glass door of the balcony and saw Kwan was standing still, rolling his bigger eyes at them in awe.
Abruptly, Yeon drifted his face apart away from him, shifting his gaze towards the door. Both of them seemed flustered red with a blushing red hue appearing on their cheeks. Looking quite tipsy, Yeon tossed a wide smile at Kwan which was unlike of him.
Somehow, Dae seemed a bit stiff from his sudden intervention. Scrunching his brows, he cleared his throat before answering back to him, "since when you are here?"
"Well...Mr. Suho seems quite drowsy from drinking too much beer. So...I thought of calling you both before we head back..." Gulping his saliva, Kwan took slow steps forward walking closer to them.
"Actually, he is a light drinker. I should check on him." Yeon chuckled softly and looked at Dae who still had a bothered expression on his face. "Also, I guess we must head back too. It's getting quite late." Rustling his words amidst the whirling night breeze, he rolled his arms inside the large coat he had put on and slowly walked towards the door to head straight to catch up to Suho.
As soon as he left, Kwan rushed towards Dae who was still looking at him from behind all the way as he was leaving. The restless gaze embedded in his big, rolled eyes was kind of unusual for someone which Kwan sensed evidently.
"Hey, Dae...you okay?" Slowly he tapped his shoulder once before probing him curiously.
Holding an uneasy, troubled expression imprinted on his grimace, he lowered his eyes down. Rubbing his forehead by the tip of his fingers he whined out, "I...guess...I am not okay..."
For a moment Kwan continued looking at him widening his eyes profused with several queries. But he couldn't bring himself to ask him especially after witnessing the conflicted look in his eyes.
"Dae...I think you are quite drunk. And Mr. Yeon seemed tipsy too... I think we should head back for today and--"
"Kwan!"
Before he could wrap up his sentence, he called him out intervening in between his remark. Judging his mystified, glum expression, he grew further nervous and whispered back, "yes?"
"Introduce me to someone."
"Huh?"
"You heard me already, right?" Lifting his chin up, Dae further frowned his brow ridge before answering him in a grumpy tone. His low, hoarse voice seemed much dubious which was very unusual compared to the soft, translucent person he was.
"Dae...what's wrong with you? You sound...very strange, man!" Leaning his back against the metal railing, he murmured to him.
Holding an arduous look towards him, Dae exhaled a deep huff of air out before responding to him further, "something must be wrong with me and I guess...I have to pull myself out of the mess I am involved in. Kwan, you were telling me the earlier day that a junior subordinate was interested in me. You told, she had asked you personally about me, right?"
"Yes, but--"
"Alright, I will meet her." Sounding very impatient, he conveyed his words quite boldly this time peering his gaze up at the starry sky.
"What? But why? You were clearly against meeting or even talking about her, right?" With his unexpected declaration, Kwan reciprocated seeming very baffled.
"Yes, but things are different now. I think...this neverending loneliness in my life is making me lose my mind and I am gonna stop myself from going crazy! And...by meeting a woman is the only solution I am left with. So...you can tell her that I am gonna meet her tomorrow, okay?" He muttered in a gentle tone but the gloomy expression wasn't much convincing for him.
Kwan gulped his saliva and took off a small sigh of wonder. Fixing his sharp gaze at him, he inquired again, "Dae, are you sure about it? Or maybe...you are just drunk and blabbering out nonsense?"
"I have already given you my answer and just help me with it, okay? For now, let's go. They must be waiting for us."
Responding in a dark hoarse manner, he slowly walked ahead to head out of the balcony leaving him behind. Watching his unexplained conflicted gesture, thousand of queries rose inside his mind as he murmured on his own, "something must be wrong with him... Dae isn't like his usual self. He seems very confused...but why?"
.........
As both Dae and Kwan stepped downstairs near the parking area from the skyrise restaurant they saw both Suho and Yeon were chatting among themselves standing beside Kwan's car by which all four of them had arrived for the drinking session. It seemed they were patiently waiting for them and hearing the footsteps, both of them averted their gazes towards them.
"Ahh, what took you both so long to come down? We should head back already. I am...so sleepy." Sulking his face, Suho grumbled his whining towards Kwan who quickly rushed forward to head back into the car.
Yeon stood still, turning his neck towards Dae who had a troubled expression quite prominent. Slowly, as Dae tried to head towards the car Yeon opened the car door of the back seat for him like a gentleman holding a pleasant smile on his face.
"I guess you are not that drunk today for causing me trouble again." He chuckled, trying to tease him.
Watching his enchanting smile, his heart started to pound again like crazy as he quickly shove his eyes away from him. "I...I am gonna sit with Kwan in the front. You can sit with Mr. Suho."
But both Kwan and Suho had already taken their seats in the front and seemed not interested at all to exchange their seat as he wished. Looking at his pouty face, Yeon smiled again and unexpectedly grabbed his arm tightly in the flick of a second.
"Wh-What are you doing!?" Shocked at his sudden approach, Dae reacted immediately.
"I am quite accustomed to the troubles you have caused me until now. So...sitting with me at the back won't bother me anymore. Get in."
"Wh-Why I must obey you--"
"Get in before I forcefully shove you in. You must be aware of my power already...I can easily pick up someone like you in my arms!" He chuckled again, narrowing his gaze at him.
Watching his wide beautiful smile, Dae was awe-struck for a moment seeming completely lost in him. Rolling his eyeballs, he couldn't unleash his arms from his firm grasp along with the crazy pounding of his heart.
"Gosh...why is he smiling at me like that today? Touching me and grinning like that...My...My heart is going crazy... I...I feel like...
I am in trouble..." He wondered inside.
