I saw his picture, and I'll say something... He looks a lot more trustworthy than... Well... A lot of Marvel heroes.
Texas Twister tipped his hat, his expression unreadable. "Well, guess that's that. I was never much of a City Boy. I'm heading home; I wouldn't want to lose my Texas moniker. Good luck, fellas." Despite his nonchalant tone, his voice had a faint undertone of resignation. Texas Twister valued his independence and wasn't one to linger where he didn't fit in. Josh guessed he saw the program as a means to an end—get his payout and leave before the situation worsened. It wasn't bitterness but a pragmatic acceptance of the circumstances. Josh knew he had a similar mindset; both seemed more comfortable on the fringes than at the center of attention. Josh knew that Texas Twister asked for his money in advance, just like him; it was something they bonded over. It seemed he was set on heading out before they asked for it back. Seeing how he wanted to keep his money and ID, Josh followed him.

"And finally," Sam said, turning to a striking woman with jet-black hair and piercing eyes, "this is Vamp. She's an expert in hand-to-hand combat and brings some unique tech. Spent years as an independent operative before joining up here."

The most I could say would be next year.
Josh felt that telling Gwen and Peter they were fictional characters in his universe wasn't a great idea. With so many different comic timelines and alternate versions, he wasn't even sure which events applied to this universe. What if he mentioned something that never happened here, or worse, something devastating that might not come to pass? It could plant unnecessary doubts or even destabilize their sense of purpose. He decided it was safer to stick to the "ordinary guy lost in the multiverse" routine and keep any meta-knowledge to himself.

We're not even one chapter in and the timeline is already a mess... Does anyone have knowledge of a reality in which those 2 spiders know each other apart from Miles' reality?
Josh managed a faint smile, their words giving him a glimmer of hope. Through their chatter, he pieced together the timeline. It was 2010. Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider were active heroes, and vigilantes began rising in Hell's Kitchen. The age of heroes and villains was just beginning. He decided to check out the library later so he could google all the dumb questions he had without appearing crazy.

Power never corrupts. All it does is amplify your dark intentions.
He upheld the consciousness and moral boundaries of an ordinary person. As he had demonstrated in the Roman Empire, he abhorred the oppression of commoners by the Senate and aristocracy and disapproved of religious dogma destroying people's dreams.

Which is false. Because Deadpool has cancer. And it is known that his regeneration and cancer are so wild, that it should be impossible for him to get infected. Now, what regenerative factors speed up an infection? No. It is totally false. If you know a little about the body, you will know that the body will always react in a certain way when presented with external organisms. One of those methods is the increase of white blood cells. Another would be the counterattack that another disease would make inside the body. In this case, Deadpool's hyper-regenerative cancer. And don't even talk about Wolverine. Who has such inaccurate regeneration that it is even said that there are versions of him that can regenerate from a FUCKING NAIL.
She was right. Even legends like Wolverine and Deadpool—once indomitable—had succumbed to the virus' crippling effects.

Don't underestimate that shirt. It's pretty durable somehow. Not a single scratch has appeared all summer.
This is a collector's item rather than something practical. It's more valuable for its nostalgic significance than for any real utility.

Usually, the ones who limit their actions to killing others in Marvel are just giant groups, or special types. But Iron-man, Wolverine and other special types... Well.
[Battery is a crime—it doesn't matter who's getting smacked around. So, yeah, you technically stopped it. Snapping the guy's neck? It's not exactly hero material, but I didn't ask for heroics. The job was to 'stop a crime,' and you stopped it. Gold star for the technical win!]
