You're probably right, but Kellen can't help his big brother brain sometimes.
Gwen was looking at him like a beaten puppy would. Slow, careful, her gaze low, while Kellen's Mom only glanced at him for a second. Gwen also had her shoulders hunched, and she looked awful. Maybe that was the reason she had been avoiding Kellen? Was she getting bullied in the Guild?

Except when it comes to him.
"Terry, Savvy! I didn't expect to see you two here." He said warmly, and Kellen didn't notice how their smiles seemed hollow, fake. The Captain, however, shifted. Terry was a woman of average height, with light brown hair cut short and dark blue eyes. Savvy was taller, wider, with curly blond hair and hazel eyes. Both women opened their arms for their fellow Guide, and Kellen went into them willingly.

There is something potentially wrong with the Esper.
"I wonder…there have been a few cases where A Class Guides and higher have had run ins with others while in kidnapping attempts where they've fallen violently ill. Did the other Guide throw up?" Brent asked, his gaze still looking away from Kellen and the others. Kellen shrugged.

Don’t worry, she’s coming up here soon.
No. There have been a lot of people who travel, including Kellen’s parents. Kellen just hasn’t travelled in that way, and people would normally come to visit him and his family. Outside of going to the front lines, Kellen hasn’t left the city or the area around it. That does not mean that everyone else hasn’t. The Captain is popular internationally because of the work Pamela has put in. Some of the Espers who have come to work for the Saturn Guild are from other countries. It’s just expensive to travel. Like, triple to quadruple the costs right now.
"I understand what you mean. Hopefully, once news comes out that we were able to do the damn near impossible, it will cause a bunch of people to flood the area. That will mean more people to test with, and more people who we can call our own." Kellen told her comfortingly, and she snorted. Her shoulders shook as she looked at her friend.

It’s…a kinda. They aren’t as close to other nations to be able to do so. Yes, people do, and there have been advancements made, but for now, the story is isolated to the one area.

Yes. This is because large areas of the country that was there before was taken over by monsters, specifically monsters that could fly. That makes travel hard to do, unless you’re with an Esper who can do arial attacks.

Taylor, for the most part, is as good as a Doctor. That. Being. Said. It would be too dangerous for either Kellen or his Sad to be at a hospital were everyone isn’t screened who enters. Very few regular people are allowed into the Guild Tower without permission. So, it’s the safest place to be.
He had a guess he was at the Guild, but there was so much to do. He could not be lying down at a time like this. Even if he had been shot, it was clearly not fatal like his Fathers.

Mmm, that's a really good idea, but it was actually one of the other Espers that was a money maker for them. :)
She didn't say anything as she escorted him to the fourth floor and into a corner unit. It was clear that even though they had made some modifications, the guiding room layout was relatively the same. The only difference? Kellen had a feeling all rooms had a large, intimidating bed in them. It didn't bother Kellen, he wasn't a prude in that sense, and he in fact sat on the bed as soon as he entered.

Yup. I was international when it happened to me. Not a fun time.
"Alright. Let's get out of their hair and I'll make sure I pay for the sudden visit." Andrew said firmly, and Michael shook his head, chuckling. Andrew had no idea what kind of fight he had ahead of him.
