Yeah I get that, these chapters were also supposed to be development for the characters light played and the purpose of lights tactic here was to break down Ichinose obviously not all chapters will be this dramatic but the last couple had to be given I want the characters to develop differently from canon, also this chapter had a lot specifically because it took on ichinoses perspective. I hope you still enjoyed it to a extent, the next chapters will be a bit more chilled
I really like this one it was one of my favorites, I think it was a great strategy I just should have spent some more time to execute it better.

You’re onto something here, I really love seeing these analysis, anyways I do plan to address this at a later point. I do feel like standing by your decision and truly thinking it was right are different, for example you can stand by a decision but still regret it in hindsight, in the earlier chapters when Ichinose and light are talking about regret he kinda touches on this: Her brows knit together as she pondered this, clearly struggling to make sense of it. “I’m not sure I understand. Right and wrong… aren’t they part of what we feel about an action, not just about its purpose?” I gave a small, almost imperceptible shrug. “Perhaps. But the regret comes from failure, from doing something that didn’t need to be done or that served no purpose. When every action has meaning, has intent, then regret for that action simply… doesn’t exist.” Here Lights basically explaining that regret only arises when an action is seen as a failure or as lacking purpose. If an action fully meets its intended purpose and contributes to his goals, there’s no reason for regret, regardless of the moral implications. To him, regret is tied to a sense of failure or purposelessness so if all actions are successful and purposeful regret wouldn’t exist. That’s not to say your wrong you are completely right Ichinose could rebound from this and in a way win, but Light will say something later on about this (and the point you are making here) that backs what your saying but also makes a different valid point about how Ichinose’s philosophy is still flawed.

English: It’s alright and that’s fair even though I have my reasons for putting him in that class, I just didn’t think a lot of the other stuff was which was the reason for being bothered by your review in my initial response but thanks for your time and for taking time to understand my side.
