You could just make shorts, make them self contained stories with no ryme or reason. Short story arcs. Moving back to the lack of finishing a story, just make it simple like an open ending with an epilogue. Maybe say stories continue with x character with the knowledge changed his/her fate.

But on the other side, that will be like literally sending his son into a dangerous situation, because if he slips only once then he will be sentenced to death. His emotional side totally doesn't agree to any of this, but Jaw can easily keep his emotions under control.

I liked the story author, this could be an open ending. Naga becomes a big snake person who control through mafia name, he is immortal and reigns like a human. My headcanon is that his father’s side allowed him to reign forever until killed. He sired some kids and consequently a new variant of “naga” species are recorded. Basically, snake people are real.
One of the bonus for detaching from earthly bonds is flying, sadly most didn’t reach that state.
