I really like the story, but if they suddenly they start using the level system, in a primitive world, when only an ancient book mentioned it once... it just feels wrong
I don't get why they're getting out of Hortus when it's barely been a few days or a week at most, they know literally everyone's looking for them (especially Isadora and Enigma), and it's not the first time something like this happens but Varian always manages to come back... I'll be honest this was a very bad way to create a pretext for trouble, because it makes absolutely no sense for them to act like this
