then it ends up being dropped. So maybe separate the smut from the story progression
personally I prefer not having it bcs most authors start focusing more on smut and forget character development and story progression

I think he didn't mainly due to limited resources as in some elements require more resources to upgrade thus he focused on those easy to upgrade.
