No. It felt like it was created just to mock the MC and all the hardwork and victories he’s had since he first started training. An unnecessary beatdown to bring him down to earth even though he wasn’t arrogant in the first place. Although educational (even though it was clearly forced and created to make the MC have a weakness since that’s not how Genjustu works in Naruto.), It still felt really irritating since it felt like Kensei was looking down on him. Overall, really unnecessary but meh, I’ll just take it as another of your useless forced plot.

Daichi casually blocked a punch aimed at his face and held on to the fist. Sasuke immediately tried to get out of it by attacking him with his other limbs but it was for naught. Daichi easily evaded the strikes and counterattacked. Within a few seconds Sasuke was on the ground wheezing. He looked up and saw a finger pointed at the middle of his forehead.
