I said more than I really wanna in the replies above, and I considered for a while what I could add that wouldn't ruin the plot twist. All I can really afford to say is that it's not Caera. I can promise, however, that TBATE fans won't be disappointed. :)
That's one of the core messages of this story. When you fall, how do you get back up? What makes a sunset? What makes a sunrise? How do you let the world turn, holding out for a better day? DN is a story about suffering. It's a story about death and despair. But it's also a story about hope, about getting back up again when it feels like there's nothing left. It's a story where there is always a star somewhere high above.
I deeply care for the TBATE world, and I think that shows with my writing. I want each character to find their happy ending, because they've been through so much. They'll BE through so much more. But it's that strive for growth and a better sunrise that drives this story.
When I first released this story, I posted very often to catch up to the amount of chapters released elsewhere. That's why we got daily chapters often! But unfortunately, my rate of writing has slowed with university classes. And above all, I want to maintain a consistent upload schedule. Webnovel, as a platform, incentivizes quantity over quality. That's why so many stories have a lot of filler and junk interspersed within on this platform, and I intend to write for quality. If it's any consolation, the average DN chapter length is 2 to 3 times that of the usual WN chapter. I upload every Tuesday/Saturday now. There's also a point where I'll likely upload 3 chapters a week for a month or so coming up, before switching back to 2.

I love Arthur and Seris' back and forth politicking! It's one of my favorite parts of writing DN. And Seris is learning... But is she learning fast enough? Is she learning as she should? She has no real model for emotional connection. After all, Alacrya is a continent designed to make broken people, because hurt people are best at hurting people. And Cylrit will get a character arc, trust me! He's earned it!
There is no hope. No hope for coffee ;(

I will also say that the love interest is there for character-focused reasons rather than just to "be there" like some stories. Expect actual courting and a plotline around romance rather than just women being thrown (and throwing themselves) at the MC like most fanfics.
