Sometimes when someone loses something they go in to denial at the idea of gaining something that is similar to what they lost tho it will never replace what they lost or they don’t believe they deserve to get anything similar to what they lost and there are those who didn’t lose something but are still in denial at the idea gaining something not believing they deserve it I have a similar problem due to my low self esteem causing me to not believe I deserve anything let alone happiness I also have bad anxiety so I will most likely panic from mentioning that if I post this
But no. We were friends. Best friends, maybe, but still friends. And right now, what I needed most was exactly this – someone who saw me clearly and chose to stay anyway.
