He does. It's just that there isn't a lot of betray going on in this book. I prefer to steer away from such drama. And if there are conflicts that lead to betrayals and such, they are well fleshed out and often not what they seem. To answer you, Cain isn't someone that kills for no reason. But he does, although he thinks it is a waste of valuable human resources in a world where it will be scarce in the coming years.

I like your perspective on it. My perspective on it was to try to show how Cain deals with weakness and betrayal in general, not from him, but from others and how their choices can have a negative or positive impact on him despite him being the center of everything. Thanks for the comment :),

Sorry about that. It's a bit difficult for me to keep track of these numbers and all the small changes they undergo with each chapter. This is definitely an error on my end, and i wish I Had the time to edit every little thing.
