A man cursed and exiled from his village while still a child. His father, slaughtered before his very eyes, his mother and sister raped before meeting the same fate. He walks the road to the capital of the Fire Nation, and when he is on the brink of collapse is rescued by another. I have always liked the art of misdirection and such, ever since I saw my first street magician. Never got much into it myself, but it was still interesting. It is because of this that I decided to incorporate this type of thing into a One Piece fic. MC is the older brother of Trafalgar D. Water Law, his name is Loki. They don't look similar at all, and his general appearance will be posted at the end of the first chapter. Starting point is North Blue. I don't own the cover. Enjoy!

No matter what the format, a story is always a story. Be it a book, movie, or show they all have many similarities. On a broader spectrum, there must always be some sort of 'main character' which the story follows, even if only for a brief period. There must also be some sort of drama or climax to the story in which everything comes to an end afterwards. If you were to break it down more however, to different genre's, you would find more similarities. For instance, this story is mainly an action-type story. Stories like these require a usually strong-willed type person to be the 'main character' that we follow. On top of this, they always need an enemy or antagonist who's main or end goal that in some way conflicts with the protagonists' morals. Some common goals are things such as wealth, fame, power, or immortality. Most of these things seem reasonable when human greed is taken into account, however one remains that is truly moronic. Immortality, though in the short term seems great, is more a burden than a gift. After all, why should you lust after something that only brings sorrow and loneliness to whoever possesses it? What will happen to the world when they find out that this very odd and circumstantial child turns out to have one of the most powerful quirks known to man, and almost no drive to use it?
