true true, the black Goliath has a faster regeneration than that of the normal Goliath so at most an endurance ability scavenged from him could give him that aspect, while merging with let's say the anti-magic body of a crystal mantis, BUT only up to the level of the monster, let's say a crystal mantis is immune to magic up to level 3-4 magic attacks, to get a "boost" to that by merging scavenged skills he would need to get one from a level 5-6 monster with a similar constitution, excluding perhaps skills or magic gotten from the monster Rexes
Then the problem with Goliath. After watching the episode again, I realized how 'weak' it is. Don't get me wrong, it is strong but not as strong as I remembered it being. With the way our protagonist is going, by the time the goliath spawns it wouldn't be too much of a problem. Not one bit. I will read the manga and novel to see if the anime just made it seem weaker, but if not, I will have to buff the Black Goliath.

may I add something to the already finished debate?? what if he just keeps fusing skills and magics gained through scavenger? like, he has at most 3-4 totally different magics (one for offense, one for defense, one for support and one for healing) and his skills related to his body merge/synergize into something greater later on, we already know that skills can fuse even if the effects of both separated could be better, so a slight nerf to body related skills in exchange for a broader or more comprehensive description and effect (? he already has body furnace for fire resistance and fire magic/skill boost. Now what about A skill for each of the five stats? so he has at most 5 stat buff skills and 2 or so elemental/magical skills to buff his scavenged abilities, magics, traits, etc? we get a shorter status with overall better effects while limiting the his potential growth from being specialized to a jack of all trades so he doesn't have an exact "hard" counter to any type of enemy, while still getting an advantage over them.

(A/N: This chapter wasn't supposed to take so long to come out, but I had some tasks to handle that delayed the release. The U.S.J. arc has come to an end, and the first of the 7 mysterious ones has arrived in Japan. Surely everyone here wants her to die first, and honestly, I do too—I'm not keen on keeping a toxic, shipping-obsessed bitch alive for too long. And being the good person that I am, I'd like to ask you all for torture methods—I know your devilish minds have all kinds of bad ideas. Well, changing the subject, the sports festival arc is finally approaching. My progress has been pretty slow, but that's because I don't want to rush anything. Everyone enjoys seeing a bit of interaction here and there, and I honestly think it's cool. I could get away with calling it a golem as while rare the magical constructs did exist but they were in high demand and I wasn't willing to share the fact I could make the things. That reminded me that I forgot to see if I could make positive cursed spirits now that I had RCT. Putting that on my "to do" list I moved on to my preparations for the dungeon expedition again. I mostly just made an updated water ring and a plain hide armor without any bells or whistles since I didn't have the materials for such a thing at the moment.-
