Maybe Mallory’s mum was a vampire and having a baby with a human was not supposed to be possible - the mum protected her as a new born before she died. Maybe it’s the human half of her that died but the vampire half is still alive and she is in process of converting to a full vampire - hence her blood has full vampire taste now 🤔

I was hoping he wasn’t but it seems that Lu Xian is Angels biological father - but I did have a feeling it was him. Seems he has been obsessed with her even when she disguised as a man….weird.
