Without decent arguments, I will not speculate purely on my own conjectures until I understand all the nuances for sure. But being a resident of the water tribe, I am already a priori an enemy to the people of fire, but I need to understand that it is one thing to kill warriors and fire mages who serve in the army and are ready to kill and be killed themselves — they cannot be compared with ordinary residents who maybe just want a quiet life. Quite often, politicians in my past life pitted fraternal nations against each other.
