I can tell You've got a lot of Super Gene influence. Have you considered having the beast meat processed into a Gene fluid. A more higher quality method of taking in the Gene's themselves.

less info dumps and a bit more about him getting stronger and the story progressing. I like the doppelganger idea, just hope they don't come up very much in the story. They'd be good for fillers.
