Treating violating someone’s boundaries as humorous or romantic is just wrong. The story seems to be leaning more and more in that direction. I despise it.

I really hope Cecilia is able to fix her relationship with Selene into something that’s vaguely healthy, into one where her emotions and desires aren’t just completely ignored like this. But I’m afraid with the way the story is going that’s not goin to happen. It seems to be pushing Cecilia secretly liking it, which is… just horrible. This story reminds me of the reason I despise the concept of soulmates. I very much get Cecilia’s initial reaction, and I can’t help but imagine how I’d feel if I were in that situation. If this story keeps going the way it has been, not only is it bad writing, (failing to establish Selene as a proper character that exists outside of her feelings, making Cecilia’s feelings not only feel forced but literally be forced, failing to establish even the slightest bit of chemistry between them, etc.) but it is going to start becoming actively harmful by promoting an abusive relationship.

What’s good about this story is it actually has little scenes like this. It isn’t your normal poorly-written romance where they don’t actually have any chemistry- here Acheron actually acts like a friend who’s on the border of becoming something more.
