I’m honestly a little confused as to how this has so many good ratings? I was looking forward to a great Yandere novel, but I was introduced to a quite a lacklustre and rather cringe story. No hate to the author, but there a few things that are in dire need of addressing. 1. Please tone it down with the overall simping. For example “I felt the need to hug her” or “I said it out loud ‘beautiful’” blah blah blah. He hadn’t met this woman before except in the game, and nobody accidentally says things like that out loud. It ruins the immersion of the story and really takes away from the main character. 2. Please stop forcing the MC to make bad decisions for the sake of plot. I’m sorry, but I just don’t buy that someone who claims to have extensively research and played through this game just happens to pick the worst dialogue options known to mankind. Beyond that, since these heroines are real people, and you established early on that there are sides to them that the game never showed, for the love of god, allow the MC to fix his social situations. The chapter I just read is a perfect example, and the comments were totally on point with this one. If you make a mistake in a conversation, like accidentally ignoring someone (which I don’t know why such an experienced player did that), address it, apologise, make up an excuse. Personally, I think the concept was great, but there’s such a sloppy execution that I just don’t feel like the potential pay-off is worth it. You novel lacks depth, but I think a solid re-write would do you so much good. Best of luck to your future endeavours, DadJoke
