It was a good chapter but disappointed with the examples he gave. A more Konoha specific example like Naruto's treatment, Sakumo's suicide, Uchiha massacre etc would have been better examples.

The girls, especially Ino, are Inexperienced and won't be able to hide their emotions from the someone like Inoichi, Danzo, or even Hiruzen which can lead to him being exposed to the danger. Adult Ino that fought in war is much better and mature so she can take the Root's atrocities while hiding her emotion relatively easily.
Not that Ren would be telling the girls that. This and that were two very different things and he didn't feel like explaining the whole situation about ROOT to them.
